Manchester United fans pose as disabled to get into games

As a disabled person I don't think it's one bit funny but if they were to end up with a disability leaving them in a wheelchair now that shit would have me howling with laughter .
You can't possibly have the correct opinion on this, just because it literally affects you. I'd be more inclined to side with a couple of guys that think it's a laugh.

Hopefully some good does come of it, hopefully these chancers have taken seats away from fans in wheelchairs as they have suffered enough without having to go watch man united

(Joking aside it’s behaviour id expect of THEM)

I had a go on my mate's uncle's mobility scooter outside the pub one night. That's as far as I've done.

Of course its scumbag behaviour, especially if doing a genuinely disabled person out a place.

Wonder how anyone defending it would feel if they went to get into Hampden in a few weeks to find someone had copied their QR code and used that to get in instead of them. It's essentially the same thing.
It's not really the same at all. It's not great behaviour but it's not theft.

I know of a young couple, who went to the Louvre, the boyfriend, jumped in a wheelchair, and they skipped all the queues and got up close to the Mona Lisa.

"Scumbag supporters"

How can anyone be outraged by something like this ffs. Get a life.

By any means necessary.
Very rarely am I moved to anger by comments on here.
However, as someone who has to struggle like mad just to make a game if I can, disabled facilities are essential for me and many others.
When abled bodied people are taking up seats reserved for the disabled, they are depriving those who would love to be there of an opportunity to support their team.
It is scumbag behavior of the highest order.
You have no idea what it’s like to have to access disabled facilities in order to be able to attend any event.
The vast majority of disabled people struggle like crazy just to attend and have to suffer while they are away from the comfort of their normal surroundings.

Pretty sure the disability status has been abused for years. The wee blue cars which surrounded the trackside at most grounds always seemed to have 2 folk in them! They didn't have passenger seats.

That's bang out of order aswel on both parties, this limiting other disabled fans of getting chance to view a match.
But if the disabled guy can't find another disabled guy who wants the ticket, then it's doing a fan out of a seat and the disabled fan is losing money

What you do in those circumstances is inform the club that you can’t attend and they will go to next on the list of disabled fans to let them know that they can have a ticket.
This particular area is normally managed by specialist allocators within any major club.
You do not give a disabled ticket to a a non-disabled person.
I despair at times.

Not for the home games at Old Trafford apparently as I was checking for tickets to take our grandson and the ticket page came up with a wheelchair seat and carer seat. We didn't buy them but it would have let us.

That is insane, If the website is letting anybody buy wheelchair and carer seats without any specific membership/ID, then there is something wrong with their CRM system.
Maybe this is a sort of thing Jim Radcliffe was talking about when he was effectively accusing the people running United of being sloppy.

I didn't even select them I went with the system picking 2 seats together for us.

Poor behaviour. Altho my first thought was why Man U games? I’d pay good money to not to watch them. They are reeking

It's is scumbag behaviour imo. Not just for the obvious reason of essentially mocking people with genuine disabilities, but then potentially doing a genuinely disabled fan out of getting to see the game. Where do we draw the line with what's fair game?
Every single 'genuinely disabled' person in the street where I live has absolutely zero difficulty walking miles to exercise their dogs or to tour the local food banks so they can save their money for the more important things in life, like multiple cruises every year and bingo almost every night.
To the naked eye these people look the best fed in the street as well, really starting to wonder if I might live in a Manchester United stronghold here in west central Scotland.
