Marlos Moreno and the Perils of the Big Move at a Young Age

I remember watching Moreno as a teenager and he looked to have the world at his feet. He was a dynamic forward who was starring in the Libertadores for Atletico Nacional. Due to this Man City snapped him up and promptly loaned him out. 4 years later he is supposedly moving to the Belgian second division. I understand the reason(s) why, but it is such a shame that a lot of young talent has to make this move so early. Hopefully he can get his career back on track.

I remember Tim Vickery rating him very highly. A lot of these players that go out on loan have a habit of drifting between clubs in different countries and not settling down. Then like you mention end up in obscure leagues and forgotten about before they had a decent chance to be remembered on the first place.
