Mexico v Portugal - is it possible in later rounds?

When they played each other in 2006 World Cup, someone put up the "Mexico v Portugal Match Thread"on the old board, as we were doing for every WC match. Was hilarious. Even better because no-one mentioned (or admin deleted) any post referring to The Simpsons. So the 50% of posters on the thread who didn't have a f()cking clue what was going on were none the wiser all night! :D

Aye, the Yanks were soft as shite. Remember Homer wanted involved in the crowd trouble ("Aww, I wanted to stay and do some rioting!") and started on one of Willie's mental Glaswegian pals, who immediately produced a crowbar he'd been using to smash seats up and threatened to cave Homer's head in with it, and Homer runs like f()ck! ("All done!") :))

We never did get to find out who the greatest country on Earth was either, did we? Match got abandoned due to the crowd trouble. Started, as usual, by Moe; he's always up for starting a ruck or forming an angry mob

Looks a bit unlikely tbh.
Mexico are bottom of their group and would need to beat Saudi Arabia by a couple and Argentina would need to beat Poland by a couple at least.
If that combination happens they would qualify in second place on Goal difference.
Argentina would top the group.
