He's probably the best in England right now but I thought the Ronaldo/Messi comparisons were miles off the mark and he's probably top 5 in the world.
ChatGPT says that Messi had 105 goal contributions and Ronaldo 83 in their best ever seasons. The likes of Mbappe or Vinicius Jnr would be hitting similar if not higher numbers if they played in England.
What makes you say that mate? Surely they have a better chance of higher numbers whilst playing for Real Madrid in La Liga than a team in the Premier League?
They're better footballers and the best usually gravitate to the biggest club. What makes you say that mate? Surely they have a better chance of higher numbers whilst playing for Real Madrid in La Liga than a team in the Premier League?
Got everything to be a good winger.never saw it with Nunez
Griezmann has 8 in la liga, Cristiano has 3. Does that make him a better player. no
He’s now in the top 10 Premier League goalscorers of all time and very possibly he over takes Henry and Lampard this season to move into the top 6. If he scores another 19 this season he’ll over take Aguero in be in the top 5. Interestingly enough, I was at Stamford Bridge for his first ever Chelsea goal vs Arsenal in 2014. I think he only scored 2 for them.
Agree with all of this. He’s absolutely one of the best. No, I agree that Player of the Month awards don't prove that one player is better than another. I think what they do show though is that a player is consistently performing at a high level when no other player has won more than they have.
The thread title asks if Mo Salah is one of the best to play in England and I think this shows he is. The best ever? Probably not, but one of the best, I'd say so. I know you disagree though, it's all about opinions.![]()
