Monday football

I'm currently watching Maritimo v Chaves. Assuming it's a national holiday with there being a match on at this time?

Not the most exciting fixture Liverpool need 3 points, Liverpool win, over 2.5 goals, Liverpool over 5.5 corners, Palace over 1.5 cards @ 3/1 betfair.

Most enjoyable part of the night will be watching Monday Night Football before the actual Liverpool game when they analyse the Man U game from the weekend.

Thoroughly enjoyed that first half which saw Napoli coming back from a goal down to lead 2-1 at ht deservedly.

Over 0 corners in first 10 mins, Pool 2 or more goals at HT, Salah over 0.5 shots on target, both teams to be carded 11/1.

Suspect Liverpool will go for the jugular fast, they will be raging about the opening game.

Neville saying Man Utd could finish bottom half :D

TBF, he did say it was if they sold Ronaldo and replaced him with another poor signing or not at all.

More significant was that him and Carragher ranked all their signings since 2014 with only two passmarks - Zlatan and Fernandes.

If that squad finishes any lower than 7th (with or without Ronaldo) Erik Ten Hag should be chased.

Neville is speaking shite saying that players from the Dutch league struggle in the premier League. There's plenty of examples of players coming straight from there being successful. Some going back a few years but he's still speaking shite.

Fernandes ? Fud.

Spent £1.25B on players. Split players into three categories Green is a success, Amber so so, Reds a failures

Two players in the green :))

It’s not really that far fetched tbh. Brighton at home and Brentford away is about as good a start as you could hope for and they have been pumped silly twice.

Brighton were denied a stonewall penalty at 2-0. So the results could be even more embarrassing. When your running 13.km fewer than your opponents then you have several players not putting the effort in.

1.25 billion!

I wonder how much City, Chelsea and Liverpool have spent in the same time period.

Could it be an issue for English teams? They've been telling us for many years that they've got the best league in the world and, to be fair, it's probably true now. So any player they bring in from outside must obviously have come from a lesser league....

Still think the big fella Nunez is a diddy. (Fully anticipate this post being quoted when he boshes in a hat-trick tonight.)

He looked a good player to me when he was at Benfica against us. But I think he's actually been a bit lucky so far for Liverpool. We'll see how he goes.

To be fair the last 10/15 years there’s not been many successful signings from the Dutch league.

Some bet boosts for the Pool v Palace game.

Sky
