"Arsenal were insistent" - strange that McDonald doesn't find time to mention that McGrory was forced to meet Arsenal in London, on a return from Lourdes (!), by Maley and that his wages were cut at the Piggery after he refused to leave.

The hearts board have embarrassed themselves over this. Many of their fans think so as well. This hatered of Rangers by them and other clubs is why Scottish football is laughed at.

That was 1928, I believe. Ten years later, McGrory was manager of Kilmarnock and they put the yahoos out of the Scottish Cup. Maley refused to shake his hand at the end of the game.

Scottish media giving more outrage and space to the Rangers crest at Tyncastle non-story than they did when the ROI women's IRAoake at Hampden. No-one is surprised.
