More improvements at the training centre

It looks smart. I then looked at the twitter replies and see people moaning about them.

Is this why Tav knocked his from Hampden a few weeks ago to save cash ?
More than just Tav by the looks of it :D

I’ll await pelters but for me we are in danger of putting up way too many murals , pictures and quotations all over the place at the HTC and at Ibrox .

Less is more sometimes . Sticking photos and pictures everywhere isn’t for me , especially at Ibrox it’s tacky to put it mildly. Just my opinion , Tin hat on etc

That isn’t surprising in the slightest. It really doesn’t matter what we do. Rangers haters everywhere.

So if you don’t like the recent fad of sticking posters , pictures , quotations and banners up all over the place , you must hate Rangers ?

I love Rangers and I don’t like it . People are allowed to have different opinions . The piggery has gone down this route to cover up how shitty it is . We don’t need to do it.

I never said it’s about one thing?
btw I don’t have an opinion on them based on a picture on twitter but the beauty of our stadium is far deeper than some plastic wrap or pictures.

I tend to agree with you i find it tacky especially at Ibrox

Halliday isn't there for some reason.

Edit: Just noticed theres a good few missing actually. King, Docherty, Murphy.

There’s only photos of 22 players - and that includes 3 goalkeepers. I’d say there is one full section missing from the photos.

People get so worked up at the simplest of things.
The whole place isn't covered with posters FFS.
They will be in select places and I like he fact that when players go into training they see themselves in action for the team when they are getting changed, reminds them why they are there!

Congratulations, you're the winner of tacky bingo after a mere 8 posts.

Training ground fine , Ibrox no. Ibrox is an iconic traditional space not a modern shiny dressing area leave it the way it is.

Even if it's far below the current standards for a club our size?

Not being argumentative, I'm genuinely asking because one of Rangers' traditions is aiming to be the best in every department

Have you seen what they've done outside of the dressing room at Ibrox?

Seems that someone at the club thinks posters are a decent alternative to actual maintenance

You'll have seen the maintenance budget and schedule then?

Thought not...

Yes . I did the tour recently and was horrified at the area you mention here .

There can be no doubt that somebody on the payroll at the club has decided to go down the route of rather than revamp properly in line with the surrounds , just fire up some pictures and cliches and hope it’s enough .

The problem being that even if you like them now ( I don’t ) in two years they will look dated and terrible and need replaced yet again .

Gimmicky , cheap , and yes I’ll say it “ Tacky” and certainly not the Rangers way .

If we don’t have the budget to do it properly then leave it well alone until we have .

Nah, I've seen the box tv from 1991 in the dressing room and the moss on the tunnel though.

Also seen the half finished cladding on the copland and broomloan

Do you remember how we all laughed at Aberdeen for hanging up pictures of their recent victories over us at Pittodrie?

Can't believe we've done the same thing

You may mock but there is moss all over the top of our tunnel . Regardless of budget , that is an affront to the club and fans as there’s literally no reason not to fix it .

Not mocking the situation at all, it's a disgrace.

As much as l agree that it looks a bit naff, we need to remember that most of our players are young, modern professionals who see other big clubs like Real Madrid, Barca etc, do this, and maybe this helps them.

They will already realise they are at a huge club, but some people like those modern touches as well as the classy historical stuff.
It is possible to have both.

I agree it's possible to have both and I believe we should.

It's just that we're not doing it well at all and it comes across as literally papering over the cracks, especially at Ibrox.

Aside from it being a cheap temporary “fix” if you like , what seems to be frustrating fans is that we seem to be going poster/picture crazy while ignoring completely some fundamental cleaning work desperately needed at Ibrox .

Walk around the stadium and look pitch side/trackside even for five minutes - dirt, grime , moss , rust all on show . Our housekeeping is dreadful , do we not have a kercher for example ? Is nobody taking responsibility for cleaning ? We spend on new scoreboards , posters , murals , even giant drapes to cover our historic listed main stand ffs but we won’t pick up a kercher and remove moss from the tunnel roof

It’s not right .

If this is what upsets people the most about Rangers right now, we’re in a great place
I'd hardly describe neglecting basic necessities in favour of plastering posters everywhere as a good place man.

It's a genuine cause for concern, they didn't even bother to have the crest face the correct way on the trophy room carpet.

Dressing room carpet ? What are you on about

I don’t mind stuff when it’s unique to us

Completely ripping off the Liverpool trophy count stuff is embarrassing though

So you literally have no idea of the current spend, projected spend and timescales provided but happy enough to spout pish?

say this to my dad all the time, too many of our fans are still stuck in the 90’s. Football has changed, stadiums have changed, things have modernised. Not everything needs to be plain etc. Agree RE the basic maintenance of simple tasks, the worst being the main stand roof as it always looks filthy. Understand its a big job and a specialist job but having it done once every 6 months wouldnt hurt surely.

What have they put up now?

Agree with the comments above. There's no sense of taste or class to these so-called 'improvements'.

There’s been three international breaks already this season . The whole stadium could’ve been kerchered during that time .

Id bring my Kercher and ladders over myself to do the tunnel if I thought they’d let me get rid of that moss. But I know health n safety means it can’t be a volunteer , has to be a company employee who does it
