Morelos Claim Dismissed

RANGERS have appealed Alfredo Morelos’ latest red card against Aberdeen.

The Light Blues - who won 4-2 at Pittodrie against the Dons - submitted an official appeal to the SFA by today’s 1pm deadline.

It comes after Morelos was given his marching orders for a kick at Scott McKenna, with the Dons stopper also dismissed for booting the Colombian international in the face.

El Buffalo has now been sent off FOUR times this season - and THREE have come against Derek McInnes’ men.

The 22-year-old was also red carded in Gers’ season opener for kicking out at McKenna but it was later rescinded by Hampden chiefs.

Dons gaffer McInnes urged SFA chiefs not to overturn last night’s red.

Morelos’ latest sending off means he has equalled the European record for the most in a single season.

We told earlier how Celtic-daft Stoke City winger James McClean slammed the Gers hero for his reaction when McKenna lashed out.

Ex-Rangers star Alex Rae says the Ibrox club must seek ‘specialist help’ for the player

Speaking after his side’s crucial away victory, Light Blues boss Steven Gerrard warned Morelos his indiscipline will cost him a big move.

Gerrard said: “I think for Alfredo to go to the next level or to improve he will have to channel his aggression.”

We were always going to appeal it but shouldn't be left at that. The sending off could have cost us the points last night, as it arguably did in our first visit there this season. Add to that Candeias ridiculous sending off, we should take them to task over it them and the backlog of other baffling decisions.

I can see why after one viewing the ref sent both players off but if you watch the replays there is very little in it from both and I wouldnt like to see either player suspended for it. Morelos and the Aberdeen defendeds were both giving as good as they got it was a throwback to the days where strikers and defenders would have a tussle

Hopefully the days of rolling over and getting our bellies tickled are over, well done Rangers!
Another sewer rat crawls out!

They never asked McLean his opinion, they're reporting what the scumbag wrote on Twitter last night

James McLean thinks this about Rangers, Clarke things that about Rangers.... Tom Boyd thinks this about Rangers...

Can they stop asking 19th Century Terrorist bastards what they think about Rangers. We know what they think about us.

Can't wait to see what Gerry Adams thinks about our upcoming cup win at the weekend.

I think the appeal is more to try and get him available for Saturday as opposed to the next 2 games v St Johnstone at Ibrox and Hamilton away.

If a personal hearing is requested does this extend the time it takes them to reach a decision.?

There was intent in Mckenna’s but no intention in Morelos, if you aim a kick at somebody’s face there’s a good chance you will be sent off.

I personally don’t think we will win the appeal it at the same time it was hardly a no brainer of a decision for the ref, so appealing can’t hurt, the worst that will happen is that the decision is upheld, and it probably will allow Alfredo to play against Killie on Saturday unless the appeal is fast tracked.

McLean can fling himself off a cliff, irrelevant little cùnt.

Rae? Can we stop giving him money to slabber crap at dinners please? Stand the fck up for your club or keep it zipped and stop being a patsy, begging for crumbs from the filths media table.

Waste of time and money.

It's less than £1000 isn't it? It wont break the bank. I'd rather we'd waited a bit before submitting it though. If nothing else it lays down a marker that we will no longer blindly accept everything that goes against us and we will challenge them at every turn.

I'm not being funny but is there ever anything you don't moan about mate? Do you never tire of it?

Never a red card and said at the game it must be a red because how long he was down only seen McKenna leg swing towards his face but thought Alfredo must be culpable.

Watching it back Lewis the keeper and other Aberdeen players convince the lines man of a kick or stamp and Madden gets confirmation from him he seen something.

Should be 100% overturned.
