Mourinho - outdated, finished, yesterday's man

Iv been to the game today.Mate got a few ST,s in the Billy Wright stand.TBF wolves played really well.Spurs showed a lot of resilience. Poor goal for Wolves to lose a game to .Took it well but too much time to get a header in.Spurs imo always looked a threat on the break.Tactics seemed to be counter attacking.Plenty of bodies behind the ball when defending.Quite physical too

I caught bits of the second half and tone fair it looked all Wolves. I missed Wolves goal but saw Tottenhams winner and you’re right, poor goal to lose.

When does a manager become outdated ?
One of our resident tactical experts will know. Is it after a certain number of years ?
Also, can I assume SAF is a dinosaur, and FF posters know more about football than him.
Do not reply if you ever typed Flannigan.

I would have loved us to get him at some point.
I know it'd never happen but he'd flourish so fucking much in an old firm team.

Especially us. It'd be like him at Madrid on steroids. Imagine he was our manager over the past 1 and a half weeks especially. He'd be going mental at the decisions and driving it into our players minds in his typical "us vs the world" mentality.

Mark Warbutton could take on that squad and do what Mourinhos done.
You’d think Pochettino could but he managed 3 wins in 12, all against relegation fodder.
Mourinho’s managed 4 wins in 5, and all against teams that were above Spurs at the time of the game. He does it again next week they’re in the CL places.

The polarized opinions posted here prove he's still box-office. And for Porto's victory -v- MON, obrigado, Jose.
Exactly. Always have man love for him for that alone.
I’ve never celebrated another team’s goals the way I celebrated Porto’s that night.
Thank Jose they won that!

He has been brought in to win things so let us see if he can achieve this. Good start but it is when the wheels come off Jose has to prove he has changed.

Something feels a bit different with Mourinho this time.

The change in assistant and coaches brings a different energy to it all. The pressure of this job isn't as high as his previous roles since leaving Porto.

I'm not convinced it'll be "the same old story" this time.

He took charge of his first game with Spurs on the 23rd of November. They sat 14th in the table, a few points above the relegation zone.

They have two tough games, today (Wolves away) and next Saturday (Chelsea at home), but if they win them both, he could potentially leapfrog Chelsea into 4th place (if other results go their way with Man U dropping points)

It would have been deemed miraculous if they managed to get a CL place by the end of the season. They could possibly have one in less than a calendar month! I would be almost certain he's going to get them into the CL positions one way or another.

I'm sure this will really stick in the craw of many on here, but it's hard to argue with the facts. Some going in less than a month if he actually does manage it!
People now are too quick to dismiss people and say they are finished , the guys a superb manager.

There does. He seems to have relaxed a bit, not sure exactly what it is but there has been changes.

The snarling, crabbit, defensive Mourinhio is a ball ache, cant really stick him.

When he relaxes he is a man who possesses and displays a sharp mind, wit, and good humor. A really charismatic guy you would want to see do well.

Maybe he just needed a rest away from the day to day of modern football and the pressure top clubs must bring to rejuvenate. Who knows but if he can keep this 'new man' persona up then it is going to be interesting to see how he does.

at Man Utd he had bigger egos than his to deal with, Pogba etc who the board were terrified of upsetting, at Spurs he is King of the Hill and he knows it.

Was thinking watching that game last night, Wenger must be enjoying all of this in his retirement. It wasn’t that long my ago Jose branded him a ‘specialist in failure’ and now that’s pretty much what he’s become. Crazy how things work out...

Tbf to Mourinho, he’s working at a club who are specialists in failure and I say that as someone who follows Spurs. If he goes somewhere else to a club with a winning mentality he’ll still win things.

Where would he go that would be able to fund him winning things?
He's been at the big hitters and is at Spurs because either no big club wants or can afford him

spurs have fked my coupon many times this season! Fk all special about Mourinho now!
They almost did me other day against Wycombe. I watched the game as it was the last leg and I dunno if it was a one off bad performance but that Ndombele guy had a shocker! Thought he’s supposed to be really good.

They surely have to win something before he’s sacked, he does it everywhere, but this is Spurs.

Now lost 5 of the last 6 EPL games and still saying it isn't his fault, I can see Kane and Son leaving as they won't stay at a mid table club especially if Jose is still Manager

Its amazing that he has actually made them worse!!

I said it from the day he was appointed but his style isn't a good fit for Spurs, some of the attacking players are the best in the league yet they are so negative.

Constantly swapping the defence is also brutal, does he even know his best back 4?

He’s become a specialist in failure

At least when Wenger’s teams started slipping up they still played decent fitbaw

Tbf to him Lori's is past his best and Dyer is a donkey. Apart from Son and Kane the rest of the team are up and down performance wise.

His reputation been going before his ability for years. His arrogance annoys me and the style of football his teams play is rotten

Thing is if/when he leaves Spurs it wont be long before yet another club offers him megabucks to ruin another team.
