Does anyone have the stats to hand? Must be decent, undefeated against the messiah, beat Aberdeen 3 times now this season, can't remember last season? Anyone know same for Hearts and Hibs?

cel'ic P2 W0 D2 L0 (both at the piggery).
Aberdeen P? W? D? L?
Hibs P? W? D? L?
Hearts P? W? D? L?

Not glossing over results like Dundee, Hamilton and Kilmarnock but think we look better equipped to deal with teams who will sit in against us after this window. There was some slick passing in spells last night, so if can beat the teams we're expected to we'll be in decent shape.

Also the addition of Jimmy Nicholl will serve us well, Murty doesn't strike me as the type to get tore into players/get them fired up (might be wrong) which we've clearly needed some games when we've not looked up for it.

It is an outstanding record against the better teams, as others have said, it’s very Walter like. However as we all know our record against the bottom 6 is crap, we have struggled badly to break teams down who pack the defence, Murty obviously knows this as well, hence the reason we have signed Murphy and Cummings to help get goals in these games.

Matters not a jot if we don't start consistently beating the diddy's in the league. Big game on Sunday.

Brilliant record, with some great results away from home, which we weren't getting under Warburton.

We've been short on reliable creativity anytime that Murty has been in charge, hopefully that's been addressed this window. With the addition of Murphy, Cummings, etc it should hopefully mean we'll be better equipped to breakdown teams that sit in and hit on the break.

Is it The Wattie factor perhaps Walters helping out in the bigger games who knows but whatever happens we need it for ALL games get that right and we'll win a championship ..........biased officials and Timpliant officer aside.

We have dropped 16 points from 18 against Hamilton, Dundee, Killie, St.Johnstone & Thistle.
Even the most bitter poet would say we would maybe have drawn a couple or got beat once.
Three draws out of that would have seen us 10 points better off FFS it is so frustrating especially given the performances against the Sheep.
We simply can't drop anymore points to teams below us.

Makes pretty good reading now we all know what we have to do beat the lesser teams at home where our form this season has been pretty poor last nights performance was great let’s keep it up maybe the appointment of Murty to the end of the season is a masterstroke by the board huge carrot at the end of the stick for Graeme and so far with the signings and results he seems to be giving it his all have to say I’m hoping this works out for him and us seems like a bond is developing between staff players and support

Sunday is arguably a bigger test for Murty and our team. His impressive record against the sides around us will count for nothing if we don't start putting the bottom sides away.

Hopefully the new additions will see us being much more consistent.

Absolutely agree and it's baffling. Some of those games we've missed umpteen chances and that's the reason but in others we were woeful and just didn't turn up.
That's the bit I struggle to understand. The players seem to be right behind him and we've approached and setup really well in those games. Even more so we've shown great character and fight - especially at the midden, Easter rd and Pittodrie.
When the backs were against the wall bodies were absolutely put on the line. Even the last 10 mins last night was a great example.
If we can sort that inconsistency against the weaker sides we will as a minimum close that gap at the top before the end of this season and I think we've a decent shot of getting that monkey off our backs and beating them.

Hopefully the additions or Murphy, Docherty and Cummings will create chances and goals against the bottom 6. We have huffed and puffed to break down 10 behind the ball tactics but as soon as we get some goal then they have to open up, giving us more space.

A few better results in games we should have won then we'd be breathing down the necks of the manks
