Hey all, I am wondering if someone can help me.
Last season I went to about ten games, half eeee me buying general sale, others were euro matches and Fenerbache I got off general sale. Anyway I have a friend who has a season ticket with his son and offered me that seat as he isn't going to games (lives in Dubai) so that's great. Got offered his son's half season ticket with his mate so that would have been 9 games and old firm. Wanted to take that but it was 400 quid and to pay that outright and also not guarantee I can make every game would be annoying. Id also have to turn purchase the euro seat and would have almost no say in whether or not I got one as I am not the account holder and I'd rely on him ensuring he bought the seat. So I said no for this season.
Anyway, I want to grab the pana game and also maybe a few early doors spl games and then from there take it as it comes, also I want to try and hit as much euro games as possible. Last season I got 5 which was great.
However I don't have my Gers. Should I bite the bullet and just buy my Gers? I know £50 isn't a alot to most, but this a decent amount for me, it's one ticket price basically.
I like being able to dip in and out when I can and I feel 10 games is still a strong supporter, and I wanna aim for the below
1 game a month either spl, cup games or euro games. Get a mix in there and one game a month is absolutely fine. No reason why I cannot stick to that.
But I'm still reluctant on buying the my Gers and keep mentally avoiding it.
What's your thoughts all? Will it almost guarantee me single seats? I am very happy to d single seats and go myself. I would adopt the mind set of
" I'll wait and see if my mate offers me the seat before my Gers sale, if he doesn't then I will go ahead and buy one through my Gers and that will be it, so really I'll wait to see if he offers me the ticket during the season ticket purchasing phase and then if no offer just go ahead and buy.
I turned down an old firm game, I haven't been and honestly I should have just paid the £400 for that alone, but I'm only 38, I wanted to do another season and see if I've still got the desire to go as much as I have been.
I live 1 hour 20 minutes away, if I was local it would have been yes I'll find the money.
He sits in MRE literally just under the TV broadcast thingy, and a few rows up from the chairmans box... Perfect seats. I know I'll defo get a few euro games off him but I also don't like relying.
I've been a rangers man since maybe age 12, now 38 and also I do pitch up and give my local Raith Rovers a few games here and there as I grew up with them, my old man took me to the games during the rovers glory years. We had season tickets, great fun, but rangers stole my heart around the age of 12 and I was at most games. However life happens and then I only recently started making an effort to start following again and I really love it.
That's my story
