MyGers

Just stumbled across the April 2024 points update email.

There must be something close to 20,000 less members on yesterdays email compared to back then
I read an earlier post that MyGers members has dropped to 35k for this season from a high of almost 52k
With 17k around half of overall members being in Bronze
14k in silver and 3.5k in gold

Which basically means all those in gold and silver are guaranteed Hampden tickets provided they have a season ticket and CCCS :D:cool:o_O

Not really comparable in my opinion. Vast majority missing are going to be non st holders who will buy throughout the season.

We’re still 4 weeks from the league season kicking off the drop off will be nowhere near as drastic come November.

I agree to an extent- but how many who purchased the tickets for Nice were actually there? Many fans who were there never got the points associated with the ticket they bought from the points harvesters who were sitting watching the game on TV

I’m looking to get tickets to regular supporters who travel by official means that they will benefit from by receiving the points- rather than keeping the points total up for someone who really only wants Hampden tickets and very rarely travels abroad
The away end in Nice was actually quite full, well the upper tier anyway.

Yes, if you’ve went to European games.

Is it possible to be in gold without going to any European aways and never purchasing any extras?
Yes. Me. Been to pretty much every game at Ibrox, bought RTV (guess that is an extra, but the only one) Went from Bronze to Gold. No Euro aways. That’s it.

I am on Gold but have decided not to take up CCCS due to the cost of everything. What would be the chances of getting a Hampden ticket?

You'll be Group 2 so imagine there will be around 20k in front of you as a Bronze Group 1 would get priority. Odds are low on you getting a ticket for a 50/50 split, you'll be fine for anything else though.

I doubt it. I'm 50 points shy of gold, maybe missed 2 or 3 home games over the 5 year period. Haven't bought any extras at all. I've got the 15 points each season for domestic away application and attendance.

Edit: No European aways.

But you’ve bought an extra in RTV. I meant someone who’s genuinely never bought any extra mate

I emailed the Fan Board today and ask them to clear it up. We only get 5 + 5 for friendlies and Euro/cup matches.

5 per league match because we get 120 for buying the ST.
Just had a thought this morning
Season ticket holders get marginally more purchase points, it's a bit over 6 points.
120 points divided by 19 games.

Plus the 5 attendance

I’ve just moved into silver this season.

Quite reluctant to join CCCS. I do go to the majority of cup/euro games. But I’m loathe to pay for games I might not be able to attend, or have the money come out of my account at a time of someone else’s choosing

But if you’re saying I’d pretty much be guaranteed Hampden tickets now then I’ll probably have to take the plunge

Be careful as anyone who joins MyGers between now and then may well become eligible. They shouldn’t but club likes to make things up as they go along.

Group 3

Group 2 is STH plus CCCS

Bottom line is the club know mygers is not suitable for a large % of our support and are trying to boost revenue

For me ( low silver) a few extra points is not going to make any difference so I have no incentive to points harvest

I’ll take what I can get ( as in life)

What is interesting for me though that normally a mygers update generates a large number of posts on here but this time it has been a lot less

For those saying this is the end of SeatSub I disagree. Not everyone is in it for MyGers points. Not everyone that uses SeatSub will even be a member of MyGers.

It could be a lot worse you are seeing clubs down south taking season tickets off of fans if they don't attend a % of games.
Yip and you will have plenty who don't even read emails and still have no clue how mygers actually works and continue to seat sub their tickets

Said the same to my mrs last night. Makes sense then, doesn’t it?

Think it is a lot less chat as they actually updated the points about 3 weeks ago but only sent the email.

The extra 5 points for non-league attendance is going to push the max points per season up about 60+ points?

Are we going to see gold tier creep up to about 2100+ points in the future?

It depends on who they are trying to please at that point :))

Percentage wise there are too many in gold and silver now compared to previous seasons

Exactly. You have to compare this update with previous July updates. July is always the lowest number in the cycle.

There was no July update last year but it’s dropped 7,414 (17.5%) from July 2023 (42,366).

Numbers that won’t please Mr Cavenagh.

Have you not started considering a wee part-time job to fill your time since you retired?!

Or perhaps the club are looking to maximise sales and attendance at friendlies and home cup games by dangling 10 points for buying and actually attending - this will definitely impact ticket sales and possibly bring in more revenue in the process as those who don’t do friendlies scramble to buy tickets to secure the 10 points

Oh aye and it's worked. There's loads more seats away in my section than after the public sale started.

I’ve got a question regarding Mygers. Does a Mygers membership guarantee you tickets for home games? If not then what are the chances of getting a ticket? First match I’m looking at is Aberdeen.

Not guaranteed but you get a priority access window for general sale. You should be fine for that game regardless, but mygers will practically guarantee if you log on for the sale opening.

Thank you for that. Just wanted to get to a few home games this season. I didn’t want to buy four memberships for the family and still not get a ticket. I’d already assumed Old Firms etc would be out of reach but wasn’t sure about the ‘ordinary’ home matches.

Yeah the OF tickets never go to general sale, need mygers for those.

I think with new seatsub rules, tickets through the official ticket site for non-ST holders will be few and far between on the whole.

If you're not fussed on building points, I imagine you'll pick tickets up on here no problem.

Yep, you'll be fine outside of OF games. Might struggle to get 4 seats together mind you!

Edit: Unless you go for BF5/BR5 and almost all of those sections will be available.

Thank you. Just to confirm is this with a membership? Or would I be fine without?
This will give you an idea of how the ticket sales work.

Middlesbrough friendly 26 July

Sales Dates

Season ticket holders can purchased their reserved seat here from 10:00 Wednesday 18 June until 09:00 Wednesday 2 July.

STH CCCS Payment - from Tuesday 1 July

STH Seat Movers - 12:00 Wednesday 2 July until 09:00 Monday 7 July

MyGers Sale - 10:00 Monday 7 July. 4 tickets per MyGers membership.

RSC Sale - 10:00 Monday 7 July

General Sale - 10:00 Monday 14 July. 4 tickets per Rangers account.

Unfortunately the club don’t release seatsub tickets until close to matchday (within the general sale window) so choice may be limited when the MyGers window opens.

I’d go with the membership to give yourself the best chance of buying tickets but 4 seats together won’t be easy.

Hopefully the club review the seatsub policy because it hasn’t been working as well as it should for a couple of seasons.

To get tickets in the mygers sale you’ll need everyone to have a membership. If it’s the same as last season there was loads of tickets together in the mygers sale for BF5 and BR5.

He’s correct, my dad is the same and didn’t get one through Rangers
