I’m aware clubs buy potential but I’ve always and even at the time found it incredible Everton committed so much to him based on so little evidence.

He hadn’t played much more than 1000 minutes for us, it was open to question just how good he was during those minutes as well. He’d thrown in a few very ropey displays for a young player as you’d expect, but it was just so little football to commit so much money to, even with the, additional, limited, Scotland time too

We know his quality. He’s rusty AF and is showing it for Scotland. Dyche is more or less laughing at him in the press by playing the “big brother patting him on the head” card… it’s all going to drive down his value. Is there not though an opportunity to get him back at an affordable price to take over from Tav in the next year or two?

He’s our version of the Kieran Tierney situation ( minus the injuries ). Never gonna happen.

Another quality player that followed the money , give it a year or so and he'll be in the English Championship and then forgotten about.
