Neil Lennon Taking 55 Well

How does the video indicate he has problems? Other than not being able to handle the bevvy which is hardly an indicator of someone having "problems"

The video shows he is steaming-nothing more than that, but people love to make assumptions and that getting steaming must mean someone has "problems"
His problem is not the drink!
How about anger , faking being hit by coins, abusing women etc.

No it's just snidey as f.uck. We've all been there thankfully they didn't have phone cameras when I were a lad.

And presumably you were not someone who lived in the public eye and used that position to goad and mock just to aggravate confrontation and bigotry

Well here we go, months and years of comedy gold/tradgedy (delete as appropriate) lie ahead for the most hated man in Scottish football. This will be the most public descent ever. Let's see how mental he can get, popcorn time baby.

So it's OK to hurl abuse at him and tell him to GTF because he didn't win your club a few football games, but its absolutely not on when you apparently mention race?

They don't have a moral bone in their body. As far as I recall it was the Rangers fans who were amongst the most encouraging Neil to stay at Celtic.
I don't get the 'race' angle. He's a white, British individual.

That
Even children hate the c unt

That's not kids.....that's the groin brigade

He reaps what he sows. Spitting on scarf, GIRFUY signals, invading pitch as an aeroplane and gloating to his pals afterwards, publicly counseling other club to act with dignity during title speech at his own stadium while his players stile police hat, wiped nose on corner flags etc. - and that is just examples of how he treats us and our club. If he has mental issues, so be it. If he choses to go out and get blootered so be it. If the two are connected, so be it. If others wish rally round him, including our own, so be it. If others want to blame us, so be it. I have no violins for him.

Guys, do some of us out there still think he can play the victim card when he thinks it’s time to trot out the usual lines about mental health issues, seriously ?
This is the guy, who at every opportunity mocks our fans, our club, even whilst at another club takes the piss out of us whist snatching a last minute draw and still does impressions of that act to this day, on request. It was widely accepted at the start of this season that the manager of the Old Firm club that finished in 2nd place would fall on his sword, rightly so that was what happened, no big deal. Does anyone think our manager would receive sympathy from their side, after all the “ JUDAS” taunts at Celtic Park, not that long ago.
He is clearly drunk and in the company of friends, like most of us at some point in life, a drunk man can at times can be a funny topic, I just don’t understand the hand wringers concern for a guy, with his nature, just being drunk, sorry.

This is a silly comparison really man. Firstly, I'll state I hate all woman - beaters. Not just to look good and PC but because from my father to other people (like TLB) they were all bas*ards with their hands.

Now Paul Gascoigne has had mental health issues that have been publicly well known since the 90s. His illness has completely overshadowed his life in the past two decades. Not simply domestic abuse but many, many factors. He has been filmed 24/7 even before the advent of smartphones, humiliated in the press and came out and dealt or trying to deal with his demons.

There is no, and never will be any comparison to him and Lurgan.
I struggle to see the difference between them, leaving aside football ability. Gazza could be as obnoxious as TLB. I witnessed it first hand as a youth in the Fox and Hounds in Houston. He got involved in an incident and his true self came out. Horrible behaviour.

And Gazza got loads of sympathy from scum fans didnt he? Lennon hates us. Fukc him.
Two wrongs don’t make a right. Lennon is a product of his upbringing, conditioning and the environment in which he grew up. I don’t need to like him to feel sympathy for him and his ‘issues’.

I always believed that we Rangers fans are a class above those of the filth and therefore would take no pleasure in seeing a guy suffering a public drunken meltdown. Further I think it will piss the filth support off that bit more if we show more concern for Lennon’s wellbeing than they did!

A bunch of Shameless scumbags who hounded him out of his job because of one bad season. I really hope he gets himself some help, after all he is someone’s son, father, brother etc. I think we showed them what true loyalty was, through difficult times, they on the other hand are a total embarrassment.

Where does this reputation in Scotland/the Scottish press exist as I have yet, in two decades, witnessed any evidence of this?
Not in the Scottish press. I lived not to far from him when I lived in, until recently, Hyndland. He is loathed by a large proportion of neighbours and locals.

CQN doesn't spare any hyperbole and its all our fault..

"He became the most racially abused person in Scotland’s history."

"
When he needed support, he found levels of hostility without precedent, from some, because of his race, from others, because of football results.

The man at the centre of the storm will not care where you to fit these two groups into an ethical hierarchy, but I suspect I know the actions of which caused the most emotional trauma. "
Dear Paul Brennan/CQN

Irish isn’t a race it’s a nationality (Treacle Teeth is British btw you fucking dullard)

Catholic isn’t a race it’s a religion

despicable paranoid çüñt with a penchant for stabbing girlfriends isn’t a race either

A public drunken meltdown? The guy was pished end of. Amazing the folk that can diagnose mental helth issues or alcoholism from a short video. The worry of post pandemic mental health issues is over. FF has all the experts needed. Get NHS Scotland on the phone

Yes he is a product of environment, however that does not excuse his obnoxious bigoted bitterness towards those who are not of his outlook. Is everyone supposed to turn a blind eye to this man's attitude to everything that he isn't, in that respect those with a different set of ideals than him.

Should we all put up with his ignorance simply because he gets legless whenever he likes, that is his choice but does that lifestyle of his demand a degree of sympathy from others, not from me it doesn't. So mate cry a river for this scumbag of a person if you want but give us peace about him being someone's father, brother crap, he's responsible for his own actions and as far as I'm concerned he deserves scant sympathy from anyone

Psychiatry and psychology is the order of the day on FF. So many experts, not enough patients. At least Lennon is being looked after by those he hates

Neil Lennon video blasted by Barry Ferguson as raging Rangers legend rounds on 'sad' social media snipers

The Ibrox icon reckons there was only one sad individual in the widely-shared clip.

Rangers legend Barry Ferguson has slammed "sad" social media snipers as he came to the defence of Neil Lennon.
A clip of the Celtic manager, believed to have been filmed in England on Tuesday, was shared widely.
It featured the person filming an exchange calling the Irishman a "ginger c****", and has been slammed as a gross invasion of privacy.

And whatever their differences on the park, Ferguson is firmly on the side of his former rival.
The Rangers legend said on Go Radio: "Do you know what's sad? The person who was videoing it.

"I don't get what people get out of doing things like that. They think they're funny, they think they're big, they think they're smart.

"I don't like it, it just puts you off wanting to go out and socialise with your mates because you don't know who could be videoing you.

"If you go out and let your hair down, let yourself have a couple of drinks and enjoy yourself - you're allowed to do it, it's your own free time.
"I don't get people who want to do things like that and post it on the internet. I don't get it."

Fellow guest Leanne Crichton felt it would put players off from going out and interacting with fans, including signing autographs for kids and other positive experiences.
Ferguson agreed: "I'm just raging at it. It's not nice, and like I said it really puts you off.
"I'm sure players will be looking at that thinking, 'what's the point, I'm not even going to go out'.
"They could catch you at a stage where you haven't even had a drink, and could make you look like you've had a couple.
"I would never say no if someone comes up and asks me for a photo but I have been in a couple of things where it's gone the wrong way and someone's come up and tried to make a fool of me.

"I've probably not reacted in the right way but just watching it last night, it just brings a sadness that someone actually feels the need to go and record or video things.
"Are you trying to tell me the guy who's videoed that has never had a few drinks and been a bit off it?
"That's why I hate social media."
And the former Scotland international made clear that even as a Rangers legend, he takes no pleasure in seeing a Celtic icon being treated in this way.
Ferguson continued: "There was always respect. On the day of the game, no, but before and then right after the final whistle the respect came back.

"When you cross the white line you were in battle, plain and simple: scratch, bite, kick, do whatever you can to make sure your team wins.
"But after the game there were never any issues. There was always total respect between me and Neil Lennon."
