New 3 year deal for Goldson being reported

It would certainly be excellent news to hear but I would take an article about us from Gordan Park with a pinch of salt.

No recent history of any news breaking via him.

Apparently Rangers media team are taking a leaf out of the pars unveiling of Kennedy, just deciding what the rock clip to use.

Absolutely Big Goldson. His leadership and commitment last season was magnificent.
Briliant boost going into the new season if he commits to a new deal.

Connor Goldson has agreed to extend his Rangersstay by three years as he targets title domination for years to come.

Mail Sport understands the 28-year-old committed his future to the Light Blues this week with an announcement being held back until later next week.

Goldson and his representatives have been locked in discussions for days with Ibrox sporting director Ross Wilson .

The new contract will make Goldson one of the biggest earners in Steven Gerrard ’s squad and bring an end to speculation linking the Englishman with a move back down south.

happy days if true

We have started to appreciate him after winning the league.

Even when results were bad, and he took some stick, he was always available and never missing with a "niggle".

The same can be said for Tavernier.

What I’m liking is the fact that the plastic journos aren’t getting a sniff of what is happy at our club, everything is done on the quiet. Like the good old days. Loving it. Superb bit if business.

Will be a massive boost to the dressing room as he is apparently the most vocal leader in there. Not a dig at Tav btw, just heard he tends to talk to the players individually and they are both equally as important in there

Didn't think this would have been the outcome however absolutely delighted if confirmed to be true, huge for us for 55 and will undoubtedly be huge for 56,57 and 58. Huge boost for the rest of the players and a huge boost for European Qualification... Huge being the word B-D

AMAZING.

If this is true its great news and shows how many that love nothing better than to wildly speculate and make crap up or get themselves in to a fluster over something that may or may not happen.

Hes away, flog him if not committed blah blah blah.

The big goldson thread is full of utter shite.
That would be a perfectly reasonable attitude to take though.

There is an awful lot of people that spoke rot on the thread.

Maybe some will eat humble pie.

Idle speculation does no one any good.
Perhaps there are many who spoke rot and also many who wanted him kept even if he was going to walk for nothing in 12 months.

A sensible solution had to be found and a new contract is the best outcome for all of us. Otherwise he would have been away next month. So all good.

Hope this is true! Hearing him today on that RTV interview it sounded like he was staying for the foreseeable and id be delighted if he was. He gets it and clearly craves more trophies. Get it done Rangers!!
