… no word on permanent or loan or whatever but Gerrard says we're trying everything we can to keep Kent at Ibrox.
Post match
Mentioned a year later on in the interview.Where did he mention the word loan?
We cannot afford to buy him....period.He said for another year so that would be a poor contract if we bought him.
We're not going to pay £12m for him so we can probably rule out signing him permanently. I am sure Liverpool will want to offload him though - I really can't see him featuring for them. So, hopefully he doesn't fancy going to another English team just now and wants to see if he can up his stock at Rangers for another season.
He has another very good season and some good European games under his belt with Rangers it should up his value further for Liverpool.

Another loan is the only chance of seeing him at Ibrox next season.
Yes, they are usually wrong. However, I don't doubt that in the utterly stupid English transfer market they could get around that for him. Question is, does anyone want to stick the offer in.Liverpool haven't said they want £12m, a newspaper did.
They're always wrong aren't they.

Fouled at every opportunity. He was the only bright spark today

How do you know what we can afford?
Nah we will maybe push the boat out and pay the £12m.......
Aye, we’ll spunk £12 million on one player.
I think for his skill and pace, he under delivers. He should be scoring more and creating more goals. I want him running at central defenders and committing them.
Agreed. Realistic price for him is 4-5 million for me. He's tremendously entertaining and gets you of your seat, but his finishing is poor in all honesty and he is very very raw. Anything up to 5 million would be fair for me but sadly the money down south is nuts.I would not pay any more than £4 million for him.
Flatters to deceive too often...and his finishing is woeful.
Any Ppl thinking we’re Gona buy him, ain’t Gona happen.
Don’t see the big thing that some folk make out, between loans and buying a player.
No upfront cost for a Loan, pay a portion of wage, get the use of the player for the yr, hand him back. It’s Perfect for using players u can’t afford in reality
As he has been for weeks. But it would appear that it invariably takes 7 or 8 fouls on him before a card is produced.Fouled at every opportunity.
Plus his full wages.Aye, we’ll spunk £12 million on one player.
I think we can all agree we can't afford 12m?
I don't think that's always the case. There may be a loan fee, and the club may have to pay the whole wage.
I think it really depends on what both clubs want out of the deal.
But no t shirt… no word on permanent or loan or whatever but Gerrard says we're trying everything we can to keep Kent at Ibrox.
