Old Firm Safety Advice

They didn't the last time mate.

And that's when there was a fair bit of trouble with the wee coked up fannies trying it on?.

So they fucked up twice last time, once on the way in, and once on the way out, and we're getting the blame?.

By a couple of mentally challenged policemen?. I'm out!.

Probably kept us in about half an hour mate.

Because if they have barriers up it means too many people try to go through a bottleneck as need to go entire way round the stadium.

We dont have any bottleneck areas like that around Ibrox.

So what your saying is that the piggery is just that, a piggery and not fit for purpose? I quite agree that it is.

If there is a problem with access and regress for 2 set of fans there should be an investigation from health and safety. They should be looking at the safety certificate(no laughing) with regard to what capacity would be deemed safe for that occasion and if it means that they need reduce it to 40,000 or whatever so be it. You see it nowadays that stadiums have different capacitities for different events. These problems aren’t ours but you just know that we will get the blame anyway.

As has been said we should refuse tickets for their midden.

As a side note what are the chances of our player getting a booking or a second and red card for celebrating a goal infront of opposition fans in a ground with only opposition fans in it I’d say about 1 to 20 on.

That would be risking the safety of Rangers fans
800 rangers fans marching along to the stadium together.....the polis would have no choice to escort them all the way which would increase the safety of all fans. Saying to anyone who is late just pop over to the velodrome while the full footprint is swarming with poets....that puts our safety at risk

Previously we’d have 7000 bears going up Springfield Road and that corner of the stadium would be mentally challenged barriered off all day. What’s the difference and why do they want to open up the whole stadium footprint after 11am when they haven’t managed to get that before with the additional numbers.

I’d tell them to ram their tickets up Liewell’s arse.

Id guess the extra 7k fans of the other team cause the issue.

Hence why I posted in response to you that they should look at reducing the capacity for the game if they can’t guarantee safe access and regress from the stadium which is a major issue when issuing a safety certificate. It’s also asks the question as to whether the stadium design meets planning and safety standards and if not why they are still allowed 60k capacities.

So they are telling us it's not safe for Rangers fans to be in the vicinity of the stadium of blight before our game against that mhob. What about after game? Will there be a police ambush,I mean escort away from this shithole ensuring protection for our fans on the streets of our own city? I wonder if the first minister and her justice minister, humza shite know about this arrangement between these two corrupt organisations.Disgraceful.

I also like to know what the emergency plan in place is if there is one to deal with a mass evacuation off the stadium.

If it’s not safe for both sets of fans to enter at the same time how will the manage a mass evacuation of the stadium?
That is a very pertinent question that should be asked in writing to GCC by anyone concerned about the safety of attending the game

Their tin pot stadium is not fit for purpose,

The crush that happened last time out was celtic's fault and celtic's alone.

Have H & S executive investigated the major failing yet ?

Yet again we seem to be the ones that are getting punished,

Granted the possibility of it happening is slim but every possibility, no matter how slight, has to be covered in any event risk assessment. So the information should be available.

I don't have a problem with fans "marching" to the piggery on the face of it. Prague derby, the away fans march to the ground from their own ground.

However, this is different. This is "We will keep you penned in - and walk you across the road".

This is because they can't guarantee the safety of the HOME fans. It does not guarantee the safety of the Gers fans.

What happens if 2 guys from along the road walk to the ground with no colours on and attempt to enter the ground? Spotted by Timothy - and abused, possibly attacked?

Even if same happened at Ibrox, they have to go a certain distance away from the ground to get to the ground.

What they are saying is we will force you into the hellhole for an hour prior to kick off to "enjoy" the Irish republican theme park coming from the PA system.

Afterwards, win lose or draw, you are getting kept in too.

This is 2019 FFS!

It's a recipe for carnage.

Not a lot the club can do about this.

It’s PS that have decided it and it’s to avoid the extra 6,200 rhabids getting jammed into Janefield Street.

It’s a disgrace that the Glasgow CSC City Council gave the bunnet permission to create that horrible crushing bottleneck but I don’t see any way the club can resist this.

If we start complaining, PS will simply say this issue has arisen because of the reduced allocations.

So, I’m afraid we probably need to live with this as the only way to ensure everyone’s safety, as going back to the Griffiths and scum IRAoke scarf tying and snottering and flare throwing at Ibrox is an unacceptable alternative to me.

The police and Celtic have agreed on this action for rangers supporters on safety grounds strictly for entering Celtic park

What is the risk assessment in place regarding safety of spectators on exiting the stadium should an emergency situation arise during the game, this could require immediate safe evacuation and this information should also be made public to prevent confusion should such an incident take place.
without such a risk assessment being in place regarding safe evacuation of spectators in an emergency- the safety certificate for the Celtic park should be withdrawn.
so could the SLO of rangers please inform our supporters of the safety procedures in place for safely exiting Celtic park in a situation such as an emergency evacuation at Celtic park given the extreme safety procedures that are in place for entering Celtic park.
these procedures are detrimental to only one section of spectators who have purchased a ticket for this event.
Does our safety not matter?

Will they provide us with chemical suits before we get in there!

Slavia fans going to Sparta............Maybe this is what Plod Scotland want?

With the recent terrorist packages at GU I would say the threat has heightened

This arrangement was agreed

Celtic and Police Scotland and we fully expect the safety of our supporters to be given a priority.

Remember the days when both clubs would have almost half of the stadium for these games.
That was before the scum changed things.
At the piggery we would get a 1/4 of their stand and the full terrace behind the goals.

We even used to get half of their jungle until the early 70s

Due to the layout of the scumhut, they require movement all the way around the stadium. They want us in at this time to open London Road and let Timmy walk both ways on London Road. If we didn't move at the stated time then Timmy would struggle to get in........decisions.

We shouldnt take any tickets. If they win our fans will be subjected to goading by Brown, Tierney, Lustig and their DJ. Why give them the satisfaction?

Meet Bridgeton x
10-45
March to stadium
At 11

Our away game our rules

And have a sing a long along the way

Nice and peaceful

Correct all day long

It’s there park

So if they can’t safeguard away fans as Rangers do

Then there should be a investigation into it

Or there crowd reduced

GCC must act on this ?

Imagine being there when we pump them mate.

How good will that be?

Wish I was one of the lucky Bears with a ticket.

Could they not even operate, say, a temporary traffic lights solution? Where they allow one way for 10 mins or so, then the other way 10 mins or so? Rather than you HAVE to be there for 11:00 - on the day the clocks go forward?

Shocking time to be escorted to stadium.

This is all to try and get the old away numbers back at both stadiums.

Trying their hardest to make things difficult for the fans and our club is falling for it.

Its really not about that at all.

It is the only way to allow the flow of people around their stadium safely without forcing them around the back through that tiny alleyway or the long way around the cemetery.

I can't see how it will work in practice though, especially holding and delaying bears there after as bears will still turn up from all sides and head directly to the turnstiles after 10.30.

Good point SOTG ,
You seem to have a good knowledge of this type of thing . Is this the line of work you are in mate ?

Don't think it's an age thing mate, as my old man and his mates are still scraping around for tickets and they're all in their 50s or older.

Totally respect why some people don't want to go and equally understand why others, like myself do.

Nobody's right or wrong.
