Rangers had hardly been stretched throughout their run to the Scottish Cup final, conceding only one goal (in the first round match against Elgin City) and scoring 16 along the way. They were rarely troubled at Hampden Park in the final either, where a crowd of 120,162 saw goals from George Young (two both from the penalty spot),Duncanson and Billy Williamson. Rangers had come back from 3-0 down in the first match to equalise very near the end. The replay was a little more cut, with the game finishing some ten minutes early so that the Vale of Leven team could catch the train back to Alexandria

Williamson had collected a winners medal the previous year when he scored the winner in what was his only cup-tie appearance of the season p he repeated the feat in 1948-49
1952 - Elgin City 1 Rangers 1 (Prentice) - Friendly (8,000)
1958 - Raith Rovers 1 Rangers 3 (Millar 2,Baird) - Scottish League Division One (10,000)
1960 - Kilmarnock 0 Rangers 2 (Millar 2) - Scottish Cup Final (Played at Hampden Park) (108,017)
With the League title slipping from their grasp and impending elimination from the European Champions' Cup, it was imperative Rangers win the Scottish Cup in order to qualify for Europe in season 1960-61,competing in the European Cup-winners Cup which had been inaugurated that season following the success of the premier European competition. For one, Rangers started as underdogs, for Kilmarnock, managed by former Ranger Willie Waddell, were also challenging for the Scottish League, although destined to finish second in both competitions. Two goals from Jimmy Millar at Hampden Park, where the crowd figure was 102,017,the biggest crowd to have witnessed a competitive Rangers match since the Scottish Cup semi-final defeat by Aberdeen in 1954,secured the win
1965 - Third Lanark 0 Rangers 1 (Brand) - Scottish League Division One (5,000)
This was to be Rangers' last ever visit to Cathkin Park to face Third Lanark, for within two years the club had been wound up in the courts and their ground allowed to slip into deterioration.
1966 - Rangers 0 Celtic 0 - Scottish Cup Final (Played at Hampden Park) (126,599)
1977 - Dundee United 0 Rangers 1 (Johnstone) - Scottish Premier Division (8,000)
1980 - Kilmarnock 1 Rangers 0 - Scottish Premier Division (8,504)
1983 - Rangers 2 (J.McDonald, Redford) Morton 0 - Scottish Premier Division (9,500)
1988 - St.Mirren 0 Rangers 3 (Walters, Brown, McCoist) - Scottish Premier Division (13,809)
1992 - Motherwell 1 Rangers 2 (Mikhailichenko 2) - Scottish Premier Division (12,515)
1994 - Rangers 2 (Durie 2) Dundee United 1 - Scottish Premier Division (44,766)
2000 - St.Johnstone 0 Rangers 2 (Dodds 2) - Scottish Premier League (10,016)
Rangers celebrated being crowned Champions on this Sunday evening's 2-0 win against St.Johnstone. Celtic’s failure to defeat Hibernian 24 hours earlier meant the Light Blues were already title winners going into the game, but that wasn’t to dampen the party, with Billy Dodds grabbing a double as the Rangers fans packed out McDiarmid Park.
2006 - Celtic 0 Rangers 0 - Scottish Premier League (59,684)
2016 - Rangers 1 (Tavernier) Alloa Athletic 1 - Scottish Championship (50,349)
Rangers brought the curtain down on their Ibrox Championship season in rather disappointing fashion, drawing 1-1 with Alloa. In front of the biggest attendance at Ibrox in seven and a half years, the already relegated side proved a tough nut to crack, and took a shock lead through Duffy before the home side responded through James Tavernier on the stroke of half time. Rangers began the game in a composed fashion, stroking the ball about impressively on what was an immaculate Ibrox surface, but the capacity crowd was to be stunned with eight minutes on the clock with Alloa taking a shock lead, although it came courtesy of yet more extremely suspect defending from the home side
2017 - Celtic 2 Rangers 0 - Scottish Cup Semi-final (Played at Hampden Park) (49,465)
2006 Was that the game boydy scored a cracking goal but ruled offside?

2006: Moses Ashikodi making his one and only appearance that game

2016: Andy Halliday missed a penalty. Rob Kiernan had a shot from about 35 yards that was going in before a defender blocked it. Not much else happened, was quite a dull game.

2017: I'm sure we missed multiple good chances after they got their second, Miller and Waghorn particularly. We were well beaten that day. I'm sure Caixinha made a comment about his coach having concerns about the players during the warm up, something about them looking like they never believed we could win.

just glad to see back of that game but burke stood out this game for some reason

2017 - Didn't Helder Baptista tell Pedro to make sure he went easy on the player pre match because he sensed they looked scared ?

2017 - one of the most routine Old Firm games you’ll ever see. That lot could’ve started whoever they wanted that day and they would’ve won comfortably. Totally piss weak from us in that game.

Did Burke not miss an absolute sitter late on in the game which would probably of won it for us?

2017.. during the period where a 2 nil defeat was just a feeling of relief that it wasnt a hammering. Dark days. Fortunately in the past.

I remember after the game Pedro smiling and chatting with Rodgers while they shook hands. I think that was the first major red flag of his spell as manager where I thought there's no way this guy is making it. Can you imagine Walter or Gerrard smiling and shaking hands with the opposition Old Firm manager after a game in which we'd been played off the park and looked a total shambles?

Was something like that yeah. Absolute joke of a team. Celtic could easily have won by 4 or 5 if they wanted to up the tempo. Bit like us last weekend actually.

1960 Eric Caldow missed a penalty but made no difference to where the cup was going.

I was thinking that when I read through them.

The 2018 double-header was the worst but since then we have gone from hoping to avoid a hiding, through playing well but beat to playing well and winning, to playing well within ourselves and winning with ease in 2 and a half years.
It is a real credit to the players, manager and coaching staff.

I really want us to give them a proper thumping next weekend mind you. I think if we had got a 3rd before halftime or early in the second half last Sunday then they would have been there for the taking.
The way Brown & Griffiths in particular have lorded it over average Rangers sides... I want them to feel what it is like to be on the wrong end of one of those results.
