Rangers maintained their 100 per cent start to the season,following the previous week's win over Kilmarnock with a 5-1 victory against St.Mirren.Bob McPhail scored a hat-trick with James Marshall weighing in with the other two goals.Interestingly,the 22,000 crowd was 2,000 more than had witnessed Rangers' opening game of the season

2 up and cruising with 6mins to go. We had played them off the park.
We had just demolished them in the Dryborough Cup too.
John Greig was an incredibly negative manager and I'm positive that negativity transmitted itself to the players.
