The hosts started strongly and Allan McGregor pulled off several fine saves but couldn't keep out Ioannis Goumas' spectacular 12th-minute volley. As Panathinaikos continued to dominate McGregor denied Giorgos Karagounis and Loukas Vyntra with acrobatic stops. But Novo's 81st minute equaliser gave Rangers the priceless away goal

I remember this well, I was up in Aberdeen for Maersk Oil who put me into a hotel near the harbour, was in the bar watching the game and having my dinner when wee Nacho scored, I stood up and shouted a"ya Beauty" the whole bar went silent I sat down and looked around they were all staring at me, feckin magic not one of them said anything.....................................
