1873 - Neilly Gibson born in Larkhall. After playing for Larkhall Thistle and Royal Albert,he signed for Rangers in 1894 and was a first team regular for ten years before leaving to join Partick Thistle in 1904. By this time he had helped Rangers to win four League titles and two Scottish Cups as well as a plethora of medals and awards from the local Glasgow football scene and 16 Scottish caps

1873 - Neilly Gibson. By all accounts, quite possibly one of our greatest-ever players, up there with Morton, Baxter and just a few others at most.

The original Baxter.

And one of his sons was a Wembley Wizard too.
