Rangers had spent the new Year in England,playing against Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers on consecutive days,then travelling home to play this friendly at Underwood Park.They obviously enjoyed themselves south of the border,for they were soundly beaten by Abercorn shortly before returning to England to meet Nottingham Forest

2013 - Had a few quid 3-2 Rangers with Little first scorer in this game. Was raging when that 4th went in!
 
His last goal was an Ibrox equaliser in a draw with Falkirk wasn't it?

Aye, the following season not long before he was sold to Everton.

But by this point he was clearly on the decline. And he was only 27 years of age. Crazy to think that now.

Walter did brilliantly to get his money back because by the age of 30, Everton were releasing him on a free to Hearts.
