1902 - Celtic 3 Rangers 2 (R.C.Hamilton,Speedie) AET - British League Cup Final (Played at First Cathkin Park) (16,000)
Immediately following the Ibrox disaster of April 1902,donations had flooded into the club from all around Britain (and beyond) for the benefit of the dependants of those who were killed.Rangers decided to organise a charity competition between the champions and runners-up of both Scotland and England and donated the Glasgow International Exhibition Cup,won the previous September,as the trophy on offer. With Rangers and Celtic representing Scotland and Everton and Sunderland England, the competition was inevitably billed as the British League Cup.Rangers overcame Everton after a replay to take their place in the final, whilst celtic saw off Sunderland to take theirs.
The final itself was delayed owing to the coronation of King Edward VII,but on June 17th Rangers and Celtic came out at Cathkin Park to be greeted by a crowd of 16,000.The final went to extra time before Jimmy Quinn completed his hat-trick for celtic and thus won the trophy for the Parkhead club, where the trophy can still be found. This, it has to be said, caused some considerable anguish for Rangers, for it had never been their intention that the trophy be held in perpetuity by the winners, even if they had themselves been awarded the cup in similar circumstances ! Rangers believed the cup should have been offered up on an annual basis, which Celtic have never agreed to
1984 - VfB Stuttgart 1 Rangers 1 (Eric Ferguson) - Toronto Sun Sesquicentennial Series (Played In Toronto,Ontario) (9,000)
2003 - Portugal striker Nuno Capucho, part of Porto's UEFA Cup-winning side in 2003, agreed a two-year contract with Rangers. The 31-year old reprsented a £700,000 investment by Alex McLeish - but with 34 caps under his belt looked to be a risk-free signing. Capucho was touted as a replacement for Claudio Canniggia but failed to hit the same heights as the Argentine striker had done during his time at Ibrox.

1902 Same old Celtic always cheating
