1879 - Queen's Park 0 Rangers 1 (Dunlop) - Scottish Cup Quarter-Final
Rangers had not even managed to score in their previous four matches against Queen's Park, and so the draw for the quarter-final of the Scottish Cup was viewed with some trepidation. As it happened, a combination of some tight defending and a downpour throughout the game transpired to work in Rangers favour for 89 minutes then, in the final minute of the game, Willie Dunlop found himself through on the Queen's Park goal and scored the only goal of the game. The crowd behind the goal were surprised to hear him shout 'There goes my sov' as he fired the ball home; it later transpired he had placed a sovereign bet on Queen's Park winning the cup ! Just as in 1877, the draw favoured Rangers, they were given a bye in the semi-final

1967 - Real Zaragoza 2 Rangers 0 - European Cup-Winners' Cup Quarter-Final 2nd Leg (Rangers won on toss of the coin) (40,000)
Rangers lived on their nerves throughout, conceding a goal after only 24 minutes that left them only one goal ahead on aggregate. That too disappeared four minutes from time when Real were awarded a rather dubious penalty to send the tie into extra time.Rangers at last woke up and had their own chance to win the tie overall, only for Dave Smith to have his penalty saved. With the tie now level on aggregate and no side having the advantage of extra away goals,it was down to the ultimate lottery of the toss of a coin.Captain John Greig called correctly to take Rangers into their third European semi-final
1969 - Rangers 6 (Johnston 3,Penman 2,Henderson) Aberdeen 1 - Scottish Cup Semi-Final (Played at Celtic Park) (66,197)
1972 - Rangers 1 (A.MacDonald) Torino 0 - European Cup-Winners' Cup Quarter-Final 2nd Leg (75,000)
A goal from Alex MacDonald, with the ball crossing the line after striking him on the knee, was enough to put Rangers through to the semi-final with enough to spare, for Torino had rarely looked like they could turn the tie around
1975 - Rangers 3 (Johnstone 2,Miller) Motherwell 0 - Scottish League Division One (36,500)
1979 - Rangers 1 (McLean) 1FC Cologne 1 - European Cup Quarter-Final 2nd Leg (44,000)
With Cologne having won the first leg in Germany 1-0, there was hope that Rangers might again recover the deficit just as they had done against Juventus. Sadly, injuries had played their part, with players not fully fit being selected to try and resue the tie,a ploy that didn't quite work.A goal by Muller in the second half put the tie beyond Rangers' reach, with Tommy McLean's late goal little more than a consolation effort
1986 - Rangers 4 (Fraser 2,McCoist,Fleck) Celtic 4 - Scottish Premier Division (41,000)
1994 - Barrow 0 Rangers 3 (Patterson 2,Wilson) - Friendly (4,000)
This game was a testimonial match for Glenn Skivington with a crowd of 4,000 at Holker Park to see a mixed Rangers first team and reserve side win 3-0
1997 - Rangers 1 (Durie) Kilmarnock 2 - Scottish Premier Division (50,036)
2008 - Rangers 2 (Darcheville,Novo) Hibernian 1 - Scottish Premier League (50,117)
2015 - Hibernian 0 Rangers 2 (Wallace ,Miller) - Scottish Championship (14,075)
Rangers' win over Hibernian enabled them to get their promotion bid back on track and secured Hearts the Championship title.
The victory ended a run of five draws and assured Stuart McCall his first three points as manager.

1979 this game was played on the Thursday night ,as Ibrox was snowbound on the wednesday night if i remember correctly ,in truth we didn't really look like doing it that night

Went down on supporters bus to Barrow in '94, stopped off at snooker club, it was a great day, can't say much about the match though, as it was all a bit cloudy, what with the amount of drink consumed.

The one memory was the constant singing throughout the match.

2015 - Instead of the interim manager praising the support for their constant backing of their shambolic team, the wee chappy in charge, McColl decided to first congratulate Hearts on winning a league title.

If you want an example of how skewed our focus is, this wee guy sums it up.
