1857 - Founder Peter Campbell was born in Rhu in Argyll. Along with fellow founding members Peter McNeil. Moses McNeil and William McBeath, Campbell played in Rangers' very first match against Callander FC at Flesher's Haugh at Glasgow Green in 1872

2015 - Dave King, Paul Murray and John Gilligan succeeded in being voted on to the Rangers board at the EGM held at Ibrox.
Shareholders at the meeting called by King, voted Derek Llambias and finance director Barry Leach off the board. King's consortium received about 85% of the votes cast. And the new board immediately appointed shareholder Douglas Park as a director.
