Whilst most sides had already conceded that the title was bound for Ibrox, with Rangers having won all of their opening ten games of the season, others were at least prepared to make a fight of it. Rangers' final eight games of the season gave them some easy opposition and some tough, with Hibernian among the latter category, especially at Easter Road. Indeed,Rangers were made to sweat as they slipped two goals behind before staging a comeback, with James Miller and Alec Smith drawing Rangers level. Hibernian took the lead again, only for Robert Cumming Hamilton to equalise late in the game. Then, with the 100 per cent record seeminly gone,Rangers were awarded a penalty in the very last minute. Bobby Neil had already scored three times from the penalty spot during the course of the season, but this was perhaps the most vital he had to take;he fired the ball home to give Rangers a dramatic winner and victory number eleven. If ever there was a time during the campaign that the 100% record was under threat ,it was undoubtedly at Easter Road, but Rangers were to exact the perfect revenge on Hibernian for making them work so hard for their win.

Rangers had already met Celtic twice during the season, winning a League Cup tie at Parkhead 1-0 and a League fixture 2-0 at the same venue. The first meeting at Ibrox was to be a lot closer, with Brian Laudrup,Ally McCoist and an own goal earning both clubs a point in a thrilling derby match

2005 - We were lucky it was only 3. Played at the height of a brutal domestic season.

1994 - I'm sure Huistra got a yellow card (for protesting a dive by a Falkirk player) by doing the full pike twist in front of an unamused ref.

A ridiculous decision to replay this game, that could have cost us the Title.

Motherwell were a bit of a bogey team to us around the late 50's early 60's.
Between Dec 1957 and Feb 62' we managed only 2 wins in 13 games against Motherwell.
They had defeated us FOUR times the previous season, twice in the League, and twice in the League Cup.

Despite Rangers winning the game with 90% of the match complete, we were ordered to replay the game on Boxing Day, just two days after we suffered a 0-1 defeat to Ayr Utd in the League.
The replayed game saw Ian McMillan give us the lead just after the half hour mark, and Rangers looked to be heading for the win, until George Lindsay struck an equaliser in the 85th minute.
Fortunately for Rangers, the great Ralph Brand scored the winner in the 88th min, to give Rangers the 2 points.

Rangers would go on to win the Title by a solitary point ahead of Kilmarnock.

1995 - The day it was deemed that you needed MORE than 5 opponents between an attacker and the goal as Davie Robertson's goal was disallowed. And also, of THAT save by Goram.

1991 , midweek game at Easter Road, and remember going for dump at one of the toilets under the floodlights, utterly bogging but could still watch the game through the cracks in the wooden shed :))
1995 was my birthday that day and I was howling.
Pretty much the same from 95 onwards in this day

1979 colinwest was born

2016 thought we were never going to score that day...Garner had a particularly poor game.

2011- phucking howling that day and the the start of our dip in form, for which IMO, HMRC may have a "slight" hand in!!
