1875 - Queen's Park 2 Rangers 0 - Friendly
Ever since their formation three years previously,it had been Rangers' ambition to pit their skills against the leading side of the day,Queen's Park.Although Rangers had made numerous invitations to their more illustrious rivals requesting a game, these had been turned down because Rangers lacked a regular ground. That obstacle had been removed some two months previously with the opening of Burnbank, and thus a renewed attempt to play Queen's Park was treated favourably, with an invitation to meet at Hampden. Despite the scoreline, newspaper reports of the match praised Rangers' general play and in particular the performance of Tom Vallance, marking Jamie Weir (known as the 'Prince of Dribblers') to a standstill.Adverse weather kept the crowd down, with receipts of £28 being donated to the Bridgeton Fire Fund.
1886 - Rangers 2 (Lawrie 2) Church 1 - English FA Cup 2nd Round
1897 - Rangers 3 (R.C.Hamilton 2,Hyslop) Celtic 1 - Glasgow Cup Semi-Final 2nd Replay (25,000)
1909 - Rangers 7 (Hunter 3, Ramage, May, Gilchrist, McPherson) Queen's Park 1 - Scottish League First Division (14,000)
1915 - Falkirk 2 Rangers 0 - Scottish League Division One (3,000)
As what ultimately became known as the First World War continued to grip the World, life tried to continue in as normal a way as possible for those who had yet to join up for the services. Although League football had been abandoned in England,to be replaced by regional competitions designed to ensure the public's morale was maintained, the Scottish league was maintained throughout, although under completely different circumstances to that which had greeted the immediate pre-war years. Whilst many players enlisted (including the entire Hearts team when war was first declared),others moved into work related to the war effort.
It made fielding a complete team a difficult job at times, with Rangers being able to field only nine players for this visit to Falkirk (Hempsey,Hendry and Cunningham missed their train connection owing to the fog). Further problems arose for Rangers when Scott Duncan was injured and had to leave the field, leaving Rangers with only eight players. Not surprisingly,Falkirk won 2-0 in something of a canter.
1920 - Rangers 4 (Henderson 2,Cunningham,Bowie) Hamilton Accies 0 - Scottish League Division One (25,000)

1990 - Dunfermline Athletic 0 Rangers 1 (Hateley) - Scottish Premier Division (14,480)
1993 - Hibernian 0 Rangers 1 (Gough) - Scottish Premier Division (16,506)
1996 - Rangers 2 (McCoist 2 1Pen) Grasshoppers Zurich 1- European Champions League Group A (34,192)
Grasshoppers and Auxerre, the Swiss and French champions respectively, had been the surprise packages in group A, in which Rangers and Ajax had probably started as favourites to progress. Rangers were to finish bottom of the group, with only three points posted in six games, this win over Grasshoppers being responsible. At the same time, they probably cost Grasshoppers their own chance of going into the quarter-finals, for their destiny now rested with the final match with Ajax (which they subsequently lost and were eliminated). Although Rangers were already out of the competition, a crowd of 34,192 still turned up at Ibrox where Ally McCoist scored twice, oncw from the penalty spot,to secure the win
1999 - Rangers 2 (Johansson,Albertz) Hibernian 0 - Scottish Premier League (49,544)
