As Rangers had already won the first leg at Ibrox 2-0, a goalless draw at Easter Road took them into the semi-finals and a meeting with Celtic at Hampden Park.

I think that game in 1959 was the one that alerted Rangers to Jim Baxter.

1998 was a horror show that I watched on the screens back at Ibrox but 1981 was one of the best. 5 goals in the first 22 minutes or thereabouts. Dalziel's one and only good game for us.

1998 - the lat time we played them in the league at 3pm on a Saturday. Probably won't ever happen again

Was at the beam back in 98, probably the last one I was at actually. Horrible.

Its surprising plod allowed it when you think of it. 60000 at the piggery and nearly a full house at Ibrox. No way that would happen today

1962 Max Murray signed for WBA on that day.
Murray scorer of 121 goals in 154 games also scored Rangers first ever goal in European competition.

1964 Willie Henderson was ruled out for the rest of the season with bunion trouble.

1970 Quinton Young with the OG got Ayr Utd's winner that day.

November 21st, Rangers announce that Willie Henderson will be out for the remainder of the season, with bunion trouble.

Just over Two months later, at the end of January, Willie Henderson returned to the Rangers side, and played in every one of the 19 remaining games that season.
He also played 4 games for Scotland, and was selected to play for the WORLD XI, in an Exhibition Match against a Stanley Matthews XI (that included Jim Baxter).
Henderson would score for the World XI.

1998- Didn't get a ticket so went to Ibrox and watched the beamback, brutal left at 4-1.

I had just arrived in Perth, Australia where I had gone to watch the England cricket team. I was still jet lagged and against my better judgement was persuaded by my wife's brother in law to go round to his pal's house to watch the live transmission. It was absolute torture and ruined the first few days of my holiday.

Murray was much maligned by many Bears but he had a very good scoring record.

Max Murray had an exceptional goalscoring record.
In the 3 seasons where he finished Top goalscorer 1956-59, he scored 95 Goals in 119 Games.
I think only Jim Forrest has a better Goals to Games ratio than Murray, since WWII.

1998 My first of two visits to the San Giro Paedodome.

Both Gers defeats - I shall never set foot in the dump ever again, as long as I live!

1981

5 goals in the first 20 minutes, and I think all 5 of them were headers.

Was at the 5-1 game. An absolute doing.

Only plus point is it's a result you very rarely hear scum fans talk about due to how the season panned out. Our next trip there was pretty good:)

1973- I think this was the game played on a Wednesday afternoon due to the power strikes. If so, I doubt that 19000+ attendance
1987- Cold. Very very cold.
