1996 - Hearts 3 Rangers 4 (McCoist 2,Gascoigne 2) - League Cup Final (Played at Celtic Park) (48,559)
Two goals ahead in the first 30 minutes, Rangers were seldom troubled, although the final scoreline would suggest a close match.
Ally McCoist had grabbed both of Rangers' opening goals and set the club on their way when Hearts pulled a goal back a minute before half-time.Rangers slacked a little in the second half and allowed Hearts to draw level on the hour and then took command again, with two goals from Paul Gascoigne within two minutes ensuring the cup was on its way back to Ibrox. Hearts' third goal, two minutes from time, may hsve given the Edinburgh side hope that they could force extra time, but Rangers held firm
1998 - Rangers 1 (Wallace) Parma 1 - UEFA Cup 3rd Round 1st Leg (49,514)

2010 - Rangers 0 Manchester United 1 - UEFA Champions League Group C (49,764)
A late penalty from Wayne Rooney eased Man United into the last 16 of the Champions League, with Rangers dropping into the Europa League.
Rangers' best chances fell to Kenny Miller but the striker sent a header wide and had a close-range shot saved.
A Rangers side missing Madjid Bougherra, Sasa Papac and Maurice Edu were forced into a defensive reshuffle yet remained compact and obdurate.
However, for a side needing to take three points to have any chance of progress, Rangers were too timid in attack.
With Steven Davis deployed as a stand-in right-back, Rangers missed his energy and clever promptings in the middle of the park
2017 - Dundee 2 Rangers 1 (Windass) - Scottish Premiership (8,548)
2018 - Rangers 3 (Candeias, Morelos, Arfield) Livingston 0 - Scottish Premiership (49,448)
2019 - Hamilton Accies 1 Rangers 3 (Kent 2, Jack) - Scottish Premiership (5,100)

1996 Horrendous weather, our bus nearly never made it to Glasgow. We were in a meccano set temporary stand behind the goal, uncovered and shook when we scored. We all remember the utter genius of Gascgoigne being the difference, but it was also the day we saw just how good Neil McCann was. He tortured our defence. I remember thinking it was a shame he would inevitably end up at Celtic!

That performance against Stuttgart in 2009 was shambolic. It was reminiscent of our ‘90s appearances in Europe.

One shot on target compared to Stuttgart’s sixteen.

Turned 10 years old on this day in 1996. Absolutely cracking game but by Christ the weather!

The Gazza and Ally Final. The goals, the fights, the brandys

1976 that the night that John Greig broke Bobby Lennox's leg. Ref gave the penalty then noticed the flag up for offside so it ended up a free kick to us :))

Unfortunately, we still lost. That was a painful season in between the 2 trebles.

1998 - People do seem to forget about this match, due to the 2-0 game next season. But Parma had some team.

Still can't believe Durie missed that chance at the end

I am sure we changed formation 3 times that night started a 3-5-2 and changed it after 20 mins and then again in second half.

Boyd missed a sitter at 0-0

2010 - I always thought that Lafferty let Walter and the supporters down very badly with his behaviour prior to that game. Apparently he was larking around having a carry on when he fell and put his hand through a glass coffee table, got badly cut and had to miss the game.

They where a cracking side they won’t on to win it that season didn’t they? Or was it the next season when we knocked them out the CL?

Yes they went on to win it that season beating Marseille in the final I think.Seemed to happen to us a lot in Europe back then being knocked out by the eventual winners.

Hearts LCF in 96 was my first final. We were in the old uncovered stand behind the goal.
It was absolutely mental when Gazza scored. Think I ended up about 50 yards away from where I'd started and had to go looking for my da when it all calmed down then.....boom - Gazza again! More pandemonium.
Mad looking back as a 10 year old in the middle of all that but great memories
