1996 ,we had tickets in the ajax end, they all had wee flags to wave, but f@ck that if we were waving ours, there was a wee c@nt down near the front waving a tricolour trying to antagonize , the bears, and this was pissing off my mate, half time comes and he goes downstairs, to what we assumed was the toilet or food bar, next thing one of my other mates is pissing himself laughing and pointing down below, there"s the bold pedro trying to strangle the ajax fan with his tricolour,

2010, we actually trailed 1-0 at half-time but 4 second half goals in a twenty minute spell gave us 8 wins out of 8 games and 24 points.

2010 - On great form and heading for 3 in a row. Crowd therefore seems a little low?

1996 - I was young and still full of optimism from the 92/93 season, nàievly thinking we'd progress from the group stages. Wasn't till Advocaat arrived that we looked a force in Europe again.

1948 our biggest ever home Cup tie attendance?
Well spotted dh 1963. I dont know for certain, but crowds over 100,000 that I know of were the 118,567 against celtic in 1939, the one above, and we had 101,000 against Hibs in the 50's. There was 95,000 against Moscow Dynamo in 1945, and from memory I am sure there was 98,000 at Ibrox agaist celtic late 60's?

1993 - Rangers 2 (Huistra,Hateley) St.Johnstone 0 - Scottish Premier Division (41,960)

First game I had missed since 1980 due to wife going into Labour that morning, still managed to get my season ticket to someone on the bus

That night in Amsterdam I was thrown out at the turnstiles because the small triangle at the corner of my ticket was missing. I later found it in my pocket the next day.

Had to get the train back into Amsterdam myself and spent the rest of the evening sampling the various pleasures of the Dam so wasn't all disastrous.
