1910 - Rangers 1 (Reid) Morton 5 - Scottish League Division One (15,000)
Although Rangers were to end the season as League Champions, ending a run of six consecutive titles by Celtic, there were still occasions when one or two of the lower teams could spring a surprise, none more so than this heavy defeat inflicted by Morton at Ibrox Park.

1983 - Rangers 1 (McCoist Pen) Motherwell 2 - Scottish Premier Division (15,000)
Rangers' fifth defeat of the season in only their ninth game was not a statistic that brought much joy to anyone connected with the club.A crowd of only 15,000 voiced their disapproval of the club's management.

1991 - Forfar Athletic 2 Rangers 5 (McSwegan 4,Ian Ferguson) - Friendly (1,000)
This was a testimonial match for Rab Morris and drew a crowd of 1,000 to Station Park, although the Rangers' side was effectively a reserve side.
1994 - Motherwell 2 Rangers 1 (Philliben OG) - Scottish Premier Division (11,160)

A scandalous performance. Peña with one of the most uninterested performance I have ever seen. People around me were booing him off when was subbed.

Then Pedro bringing on that wee guy Nemane to launch long balls up to.

Totally outplayed by f*cking Motherwell in a semi final. Thank God, we've come a long way since then.

1994 - lilac strip day. Everyone loved that top, I hated it

1998 - A fantastic result and performance

2003 - last game I went to Ibrox with my Dad before he passed away

2017 - Rangers 0 Motherwell 2 - League Cup Semi-final (Played at Hampden Park) (44,506)

Awful day, Pedro ****ing Caixinha. Weve had far too many of them over recent years especially at hampden lets hope we get an overdue win there next sunday

Genuinely didn't know we lost the game against Motherwell wearing the lilac strip. Always just knew it as "the game we wore the lilac kit"

Forgot that lad existed.

Still without a club since being released in the summer apparently.

2003 - was that when Phil Neville scores? Of all the talent on the pitch that night he was one of the least likely to score

2017: One too many for Pedro. In his short time with us we lost our home record against Aberdeen, embarrassing defeat to them at Ibrox, the Progres game and then this. A bizarre appointment that set us back on our road to recovery.

1998 ,watched the game in annie millars, place was that rammed the condensation was dripping from the ceiling,a wonderful performance by the bears against a very good team

1977 - I'm sure we hit the top of the table that day and weren't headed thereafter despite Aberdeen running us close.
On a personal note this was the last match my granda ever attended

1983 a horrible day. Ex Celtic Fatty Andy Ritchie scored for Motherwell, we were much nearer the bottom of the table than the top, and the crowd totally turned against John Greig as manager, even though everybody loved the man.
This was to be his last league game as manager, he resigned later in the week.

I was outside the Main Stand after the game and my picture was on the back page of the Sunday Mail. The old man was not best plessed, to say the least, "that man's a legend" he roared, as I surfaced on the Sunday morning.

1989 Skol Cup, two goals by Aberdeen legend Paul Mason  , but we never turned up that final.
1998 great win over Leverkusen

It was, had a great afternoon in the Horsehoe Bar with MU fans and Alec Stepney( old keeper from the 6o’s) ,same night the Man Utd casuals trashed the Old Toll Bar with us inside

1994 the purple top.

1998 the Ferguson pirouette.

2000 full blown crisis for Advocaat.

2003 Should’ve got a point.

2017 Pedro’s second last game.

A wee bit harsh imo. We missed more than enough chances to put that game out of sight before they got the first goal. Windas in particular squandered some great chances. Add that to a referee who was prepared to allow Motherwell to get away with brutal challenges across the entire game (I'll never forget what happened to Cardoso in particular). I was as disappointed as the rest of us that day but I don't have the same recollection of it as you.

Our results against Motherwell in the third week of October haven’t been great over the years

I was at two games on this date - alas both defeats

Both Hampden Park League Cup losses, to the Sheep 2-1 in 1989 and Murderwell 2-0 in 2017.
