1855 - Moses McNeil was born in Rhu in Dunbartonshire.
Put quite simply, Rangers Football Club wouldn't exist had it not been for Moses McLay McNeil. As well as being the founder member of the club, he went on to make 34 appearances and scored a total of 9 goals. He left Rangers in 1882 and retired from the game, then went on to become a commercial traveller by trade. He died in 1938 at the age of 83
1881 - Nottingham Forest 0 Rangers 0 - Friendly (2,000)
By the time Rangers travelled down to Nottingham, the Forest club had moved to a new ground at Trent Bridge Cricket Ground (about 100 yards from their current home ground and which still exists as a cricket ground). The match was played under two different sets of rules;in the first half the Scottish rules were observed, and in the second half the game reverted to the English rules. The basic differences concerned the throw-in;in the English game, the thrower was required to throw the ball at right angles to the touch-line,whereas the Scottish rule enable the ball to be thrown at any angle. The game ended goaless, but there was an interesting sequel when Rangers played their Scottish Cup-tie against South Western on December 3rd.

Back in April, Rangers had beaten Kilmarnock 2-0 in the Scottish Cup final, six months on it was the same score in the League Cup final .There was to be further disappointment for Kilmarnock at the end of the season as well; they finished second behind Rangers in the League by one point

1966 - legitimate goal by Bobby Watson mysteriously disallowed.

1983 - Tommy McLean in charge after John Greig’s resignation.

I seem to remember some discussion about whether Moses McNeil was "the founder member of the club" or a founder member of the club. I don't know enough about it myself to say.

I very much hope the club has plans today to mark the anniversary of Moses McNeil’s birth on social media.

Our media team have been bad at doing this sort of thing over the last few years, although there has been a sharp improvement in recent months.

1988 ,a late equalizer by andy if I remember correctly

i was 11 and it was my first time being in the 'stmirren end', remember being nervous before it then when you get there its 90% rangers. Was right behind the goal when he scored.

2005 - Another Watterous error iirc

2011 - Naismith injury game
2011- I know worse was to follow but it did seem to go down hill after that. He was on fire before the injury too and was our main man.......fast forward just under a year and I’m sure most of us wanted to set him on fire.

We had a really poor record against ICT in the mid-2000s. We rarely lost to them but we really struggled to win as well.

Between 04/05 and 06/07 we had only 3 wins from 9 against them and only one of them at Ibrox. We drew 1-1 in March 2007 when they played majority of the game with 10 men and scored a late equaliser. Always been a bit of a bogie team.

1988 I was in the main stand for that game with my mate, I think Andy Gray went more mental than us when he scored!

2011 - Aberdeen 1 Rangers 2 (Lafferty,Jelavic Pen) - Scottish Premier League (15,468)
