Our most obscure players

Always remember an interview with Durrant and he said we’d been watching him for a few years!!!!!! which makes signing him even more bizarre!
Ortiz wasn't that bizarre on the face of it, he was a first team regular in a decent enough if unspectacular la liga side who was a winger/wing back pinging in crosses and chipping in with the odd goal. Just didn't work out for him but he had a decent career.

suppose bizarre was the wrong word to use,but just a bit annoying that he was pretty bollocks yet we watched him for ages! That’s football I suppose

Loads of players under souness in 87/88 who signed played a handful of games and hardly featured again. Avi Cohen, John McGregor, Ian McCall, David Kirkwood, Trevor Francis.

Dave Macfarlane. Won a medal in the skol cup then basically vanished
Remi Street
Shane Ferguson
Kevin mbapu
Gael Bigirimana

Just an utter waste of money

Thomas Madegage and Augustine Makalakalakalane . 2 guys from South Africa on trial in the late 80s don't think they ever got a game.

Scott Fraser
Eric Ferguson
Billy McKay
From early eighties iam sure Billy McKay was on bench for 81 league Cup final and only other memory of him he sadly had to retire and he had a testimonial against new Zealand
