These teams on the upcoming fixture list games against Rangers is there cup final ,now we are playing and treating every game as a cup final no matter the opposition.
I don't think Gerrard would the money for wins is important but also tbh topping the group is important to if want to progress furtherI think tomorrow night is massive. If we win we likely qualify and I know the Europa games bring good money for us if we win but it would allow us to maybe rest a few players in the remaining two games that we wouldn’t usually have the luxury to do.
If we qualify on Thursday it should be the B team for at least the Poznan away game. League has to be the priority. This is why Thursday is actually really important. If we can qualify (or at least make it extremely difficult not to) then we can take Standard & Poznan a little easier than if they're must win games. That would give us more energy and options for the league games.
Truth is though, we need to be negotiating these league fixtures with relative ease, the teams in that run are pretty shit.

Depends on the other result I think.Do we qualify with a win against Benfica?
One game at a time, but win tomorrow and we can play a weakened team in Europa knowing we have qualified.Ross County (away)
Dundee Utd (away)
Motherwell (home)
St Johnston (away)
Hibs (home)
St Mirren (away)
The above is our league fixtures for the month of December with the mentally challengeds at home directly after St Mirren.
I know the old 'one game at a time' mantra is popular on here but it doesn't do any harm looking at our next block of fixtures.
Usually i'd say that looks like a reasonable set of fixtures but when you factor in we play Standard Liege before Ross County, travel to Poznan before we go to Tannadice and will hopefully have a League Cup quarter final mid December it looks a tricky month on paper with our busy schedule.
This in my opinion will be the first true test of our squad strength as players will need to rotated with 9 games in just over 4 weeks... guys like Bassey, Balogun, Hagi, Itten etc will really need to step up at times.
Right now i'd be delighted to have maintained our 5 point lead (assuming they win both games in hand which I think they will) going into the game v them in January.
How do you see this month going?
Often is a very tricky game there. But i'm sure we'll cause them all sorts of problems, the way we're performing.St Johnstone are playing quite well at the moment that game could be tricky.
A Lech Poznan win in Liege would give them 6 points would stop us automatically qualifying this weekDo we qualify with a win against Benfica?
Dundee United could be a difficult one, games against them have been difficult in the past and they gave Celtic a run for there money.
1 game at a time bears!
It certainly would be. I also think it would be a league winning effort that's how close we are. If we won all of those and its a big if I believe we'll stretch our lead a the table before playing them again. How many games on the bounce have we won in the league now? 5? 6? We’re looking at winning another 6 before the OF game so potentially an 11/12 game winning run. Would be a monumental effort.
Unbeaten in 5 league games, certainly won’t be a walk over. They’d love to end our unbeaten start too.Arabs have been honking recently.
One game at a time thats how i see it going
I can appreciate why you would want us to relax in the EL if we have already qualified, however co-efficient points are so important and could facilitate a much easier route towards CL qualification in the future. We need to take our matches one at a time and try to win all of them with equal commitment.I think tomorrow night is massive. If we win we likely qualify and I know the Europa games bring good money for us if we win but it would allow us to maybe rest a few players in the remaining two games that we wouldn’t usually have the luxury to do.

We should have a 14pt lead going into the game against them if we both win out games between then and now.Ross County (away)
Dundee Utd (away)
Motherwell (home)
St Johnston (away)
Hibs (home)
St Mirren (away)

Those fixtures were played over 6 weeks with some of our players resting while not away on international duty.I’m not sure if I agree with that. Earlier this season we had the following six futures
Dundee United (H)
Hibs (A)
Motherwell (A)
Ross County (H)
Celtic (A)
Livingston (H)
with European games in between
I think we could slip up against Dundee United mate, that game is probably the toughest imo.You would think there is a draw in there somewhere
But to be honest I'm struggling to find it
Exactly how I see it.Every game on good grass parks without any fans. The best team usually wins.
That's us.
If we can stay with current gap until rats come to Ibrox then we will have a brilliant chance to take a massive stride that day.One game at a time thats how i see it going
Ah good to see the goalposts still being shifted. I was worried we were all being positive.Ross County (away)
Dundee Utd (away)
Motherwell (home)
St Johnston (away)
Hibs (home)
St Mirren (away)

In no way was that a dig at the squad or the progress we've made this season.Ah good to see the goalposts still being shifted. I was worried we were all being positive.
Like McLaughlin, Barker, Bassey, Jones, Balogun/Helander depending on your persuasion, Defoe and Itten already have in games this season? Most of them have already played their part. If they do it in the next 4 weeks, it's not the start of it it's a continuation. In no way was that a dig at the squad or the progress we've made this season.
I was merely pointing out that we're about to play 9 games in just over 4 weeks and players who have been on the fringes of the first team will have to play their part at some point in what looks like a tough month of games.
I'm not sure how that can be argued?
If we were going Dundee Hibs for the first time in his knows how long then it would easily be our toughest game and for a number of reasons.Ross County (away)
Dundee Utd (away)
Motherwell (home)
St Johnston (away)
Hibs (home)
St Mirren (away)

Can we shut down the forum for the next 6 months to make sure nobody jinxes it? Just in caseOP did mention that.
Would it be okay if the rest of us chat about more than one game at a time? I've checked and am pretty sure we won't jinx any results. Nor will we affect team confidence.
