Overall feeling heading into the Celtic game?

If we had a clinical striker I’d be supremely confident. We haven’t and I’m not, Kyogo will lose Goldson at some point, or both he and Souttar will be done with an overhead/ round the back ball and the wee diver will slot in another winner.

We are miles ahead of where we were but the scum know how to win. It’s a skill against them I’m just not sure we have acquired yet.
That's the spirit!

Chucked the towel in on Wednesday morning haha fs.

Just thought I’d ask to guys really. Confident? Worried? Interested to hear opinions. I’m optimistic as Big Phil’s gave me a great reason to be but also humble because of how badly I’ve been let down against that lot in recent times.
Team is in a much better place since big Phil came in
Refereeing /Var still a big concern

If we win then I think we win the league. All momentum will be with us.

Would anyone take a draw?
Great question.

I suspect few Rangers fans would take a draw - you hope, or even expect, to win.

But I think many Celtic fans would take a draw. Precisely because they think they’ll win at Parkhead. And they fear defeat at Ibrox.

I still think a draw would be a better result for Rangers than for Celtic.

A draw puts them favourites imo. Our record at Parkhead is awful and have no confidence we go there and avoid defeat.

I don't. We can't go into the away game with them knowing a win will take them above us. We have to win. I think it will do wonders for this team psychologically if they can finally win an OF game.

Winning the league without beating them at least once would normally be a near impossibility.

I doubt its ever happened in the Premier league era either.

It could still be achieved but we would be seriously playing with fire heading into the last six or seven fixtures.

We simply have to win on Sunday by any means necessary, if they take anything from Ibrox they leave knowing we probably don't have what it takes to overcome them whether we like that or not. Anything other than a Rangers victory gift wraps them the opportunity for more smarmy, classless comments from their repulsive manager.

Put them in their box Rangers and make the creep pay.

This is my worry, but just keep hoping that Clement has the winning mentality instilled and a tactical plan planned

Will sima be fit enough to play
I agree with you to be honest my main concern is not putting the ball in the net when given chances
Fit enough to play at least a half. It’s worth going for the jugular the way we did in the 3-0 game end of last season.

My biggest concern is the officials who have already swung the previous two games this season to them.

The selective use of VAR has become more prevalent as the season has gone on.
The fact that the rat Frank o Connor is assistant var is a concern as the other simpleton mulvaney who admitted in front of Friends at a local bbq that he wasn’t a friend of ours and was responsible for chopping off two valid goals in two of the last four OF games and also was behind the decision not to award the pen when that mutant Johnstone commits the blatant handball. Don’t get me started on the squint line they drew and the incorrect freeze frame image for offside in the same passage of play.

Dessers missed 2 clear cut chances
You can't blame the refs all the time
That’s it Dessers is my main concern. We all know it’s true. Have you ever felt less confident about a striker who starts 90% of the time and his inability to deliver when it matters for the famous??

Biggest domestic match since the last big domestic match imo :D

On a serious note , get an early goal and we will give Them a doing

We need to stop the line as high as it was against benfica and hibs

I think it will be a more tactical game tbh they can't afford to neither team can afford to lose

if we win then even if we lose the game at the piggery As long as we match then in the other games then we win the league.

We draw we need to go to piggery for at least a draw and again Match there results.

We lose we will need to beat them at piggery.

I think both teams will drop points before end of season outside these games

That mob will be bricking it.
They know if we win it’s all over.

They won't be bricking it before the game as they've barely needed to bother their arse winning the majority of games v us since Gerrard left and know we have a mistake in us they can capitalise on.

If we stand up and get a couple of early goals and don't give them their customary free goal then they absolutely will brick it as they can't handle not getting things their own way.

This. Until we can prove that we can beat them in the league in a meaningful contest, why would they be worried? Last time we beat them in the league when something was at stake was Sept 2021 (last season doesn't count as the league was done by then). That's over 2 years ago. Sunday will be a real test and an accurate gauge on how much this team has "progressed" under the new manager. IF we win, then I think we have enough in the tank to get over the line. That would be a monumental achievement.

However, I will believe it when I see it on Sunday.

They've pretty much always beaten us for years now when it matters. I think it'll be some in our team who will be bricking it, given how we've played against them a few times when things were on the line.

In general I think we have what it takes to beat them but my fear is that we'll see the same as last time: Miss chances when it matters and they get their once chance that they score.

Always confident against that mob. The 2 games this season have been decided by them taking their chances and us not.nerds to change sunday

I hate every single one of they horrible bastards.

Win lose or draw that will remain the same.

Nervous about the defence, we're shipping silly goals more and we tend to do that in these games regardless. Barisic against Kuhn and Goldson against Kyogo could be rough if they're not sharp mentally.

I think our midfield will batter theirs, Lundstram will be back to his best and Diomande could run the show. Cantwell hates them as much as we do.

Suppose it's then down to our final third, whoever plays and whether we get the composure we've sadly lacked in recent games with them. Other than the perfectly-fine goals the refs have chalked off, of course.

In what world is this the case? A draw this weekend would feel like a loss considering there’s still the OF at theirs. A draw or loss this weekend and the game at theirs is a shit show before it’s even kicked off. This weekend is an absolute must win.

Winning this weekend also cancels out if they win the OF at their ground. There’s no hope both games are ending in draws so we’d need to be the ones winning at least one and this weekend is our best opportunity of doing so.

There’s absolutely no chance we can any drop points this weekend and it suits us more, in no world is that the case

Yes, I’ve had some pushback on my view.

Mainly, it seems, from those who think Celtic will win all their remaining games against the other teams (they really won’t), and those who think Rangers may as well give Celtic the three points now for the game at Parkhead.

A draw on Sunday means Rangers will be top after winning their game in hand. Celtic will be chasing and the pressure will all be on them. They’ll go into every game knowing they can’t afford to drop anything else. And they’ll still have to beat Rangers at Parkhead - a draw then won’t be enough.

It’ll probably be academic, as I expect Rangers to win on Sunday, but if it does turn out to be a draw I may give this forum a miss. The sense of defeatism will be unbearable.

Usually confident or pessimistic this time am 50/50 hopefully we can get the win

Get the same feeling as before Benfica at home, that we won't win. Let's hope I'm wrong this time.
I’m the same mate. I just think loads are expecting us just to turn up and win.
I think it will be really tight and think we’ll shit the bed.
Hopefully I’m wrong too!

A draw is not better for Rangers than the manks this Sunday, I'm not having that , our record at the piggery is atrocious and they will have another 2 home games out with said game
