Paul Lambert on drugs ?

European super power FFS

Lambert also stressed that Celtic have a massive financial advantage over their rivals – and he argues that the champions could become one of the biggest clubs on the continent.

He said: “Celtic are much stronger than Rangers commercially and that’s important. The structure is sound, they have better merchandising and sponsorship so they’re flying on and off the field. That financial gap will only increase if Celtic get into the new-look Champions League next season – with four guaranteed home games and all the extra TV and UEFA revenue which comes with it – and Rangers miss out.

“Michael Beale has a big rebuild to do at Ibrox and, with Rangers on a UEFA watchlist over Financial Sustainability regulations, they’ll be limited on how much they can spend. He needs to get every signing spot on just to keep up with them.

“For Celtic, the potential is there for them to become a European super club. They could be a real monster if they get things going and the manager keeps on doing what he’s doing. If they could put on another tier and increase the capacity of Celtic Park to 80,000 they’d still fill it every week.

“They’re a world-wide institution and if they were ever invited to join the Premier League, after taking a couple of years to find their feet, they’d be challenging for the title.”
They’d fill 80,000 every week ?????????? Paul ffs stop talking shite

Just the way their stadium is set up I can't see them being close to our hospitality set up etc. Don't think there's actually much in kit/merchandising. They report their total income where we just report profit so it's hard to find a direct comparison.

He’s right about one thing … they are a better run club off the field

The difference being that they have a very competent executive board who give a shit about protecting their brand and understand that their supporters are vital to their success

our board are miles off it politically and in terms of public relations
They also have compliant press/media which helps their brand more than ours.

Hahahaha, 80k stadium? They’re waltzing to this league and they still play to 1000s of empty seats every week. Saw a few stills of their game today. Embarrassing turnout tbh.

European superpower ffs when was the last time Celtic got anywhere near a European final.

celtic are a global football club who have on the most part by means of media manipulation managed to subdue their repugnant reputation worldwide however shortly their name will be synonymous with paedophilia. This is soon to be borne out in court and will be the end of this horrifying stain on Scottish society when they are finally wound up.
I cannot wait for this day to roll around. It has been a long time coming due to the help they get from all the corrupt bastards who have helped them with the cover up.

I hope all the victims get plenty of compensation out of them before they go tits up.

This is why their stadium was sold for a pound my opinion.

Cannot wait for time when the awkward questions of who knew what and when can be asked openly. Imagine that fat greek mess sweating and squirming in their press conferences trying to stay on message.
Plenty of politicians and journalists must be dreading this as well.

He says “If” a lot in that piece. I am all for talking the game up in this Country but he is coming out with some seriously farcical nonsense. As has been pointed out - it was Rangers who reached a European final last year.

He has got a good point. If they'd just got another 7 or 8 points in their group they would've qualified and probably went on to win it.

How did he lose his teeth again?

Oh aye

Look up and left

A European super club that's failed to leave a black eye on Europe's biggest competition since it's inception (Champions League).

Gumsy prick.
