Lambert also stressed that Celtic have a massive financial advantage over their rivals – and he argues that the champions could become one of the biggest clubs on the continent.

He said: “Celtic are much stronger than Rangers commercially and that’s important. The structure is sound, they have better merchandising and sponsorship so they’re flying on and off the field. That financial gap will only increase if Celtic get into the new-look Champions League next season – with four guaranteed home games and all the extra TV and UEFA revenue which comes with it – and Rangers miss out.

“Michael Beale has a big rebuild to do at Ibrox and, with Rangers on a UEFA watchlist over Financial Sustainability regulations, they’ll be limited on how much they can spend. He needs to get every signing spot on just to keep up with them.

“For Celtic, the potential is there for them to become a European super club. They could be a real monster if they get things going and the manager keeps on doing what he’s doing. If they could put on another tier and increase the capacity of Celtic Park to 80,000 they’d still fill it every week.

“They’re a world-wide institution and if they were ever invited to join the Premier League, after taking a couple of years to find their feet, they’d be challenging for the title.”

To become a European super club you need to be getting to last 8 consistently
Celtic can't get out the groups, can barely win a game there
When they drop down to the UEFA they fare no better
Europe wise all they have proved is they can win the Scottish League and if it wasn't for Rangers efforts raising the coefficient they would be failing in the qualifiers
Add an extra tier
How much would that cost?
Never going to happen
Talk of filling an 80k stadium and challenging for the Premier League is fantasy. Can never be proven or disproven as never going to happen. So no point in discussing it
But when they sell their best players to Palace and Brentford it gives an idea of their level

Hes probably the most dumbest person known to man and speaks like how I would imagine a Gorilla would communicate.

The gap will only grow unless we sort our shit pronto though.

That gumsy jump the dyke needs to use fingers to count 10. Fu*k him and his opinion.

How did he lose his teeth again?

Oh aye

As much as he talks shite the paragraphs in bold are a concern

celtic are a global football club who have on the most part by means of media manipulation managed to subdue their repugnant reputation worldwide however shortly their name will be synonymous with paedophilia. This is soon to be borne out in court and will be the end of this horrifying stain on Scottish society when they are finally wound up.

Albertz didnt just knock his teeth out ..Lambos brain is still shaking it seems lol

Aye they should stick another tier on, imagine the advertising potential with all the banners they could display 40 weeks of the year when they’re not playing us or getting pumped in Europe.
Sticking another tier on the already rusting death trap, that’s the least bat shit mental thing he’s said as well, he needs to lay off the crack pipe.

They always seem to get a little carried away with themselves. They genuinely believe kids are running around the streets of Belgium, Cameroon and China talking about Celtic.

Even in Japan, despite them having many players at them, most people will be far more interested in the EPL or Bundesliga.

Mumbling twat seems to forget.

1. He supported RANGERS.
2. He played for a boys club called Linwood RANGERS.
3. His first manager at his first Pro club used to play for RANGERS. Alex Miller.

Rangers shaped him in one way or another in his early years but the beasts changed him in to the twat he is today

Haven’t won a knockout tie in europe in about 20 years but could be a superpower. It’s like saying if I lost 5 stone and wasn’t ugly I could date a supermodel

Come on now give the guy a break. It is after all Glasgow Comedy Festival month…so he’s practicing his material and most importantly actually trying to master the art of talking the Kings English!!!

A club that’s done nothing in Europe for twenty years, haven’t won a knockout match in eighteen years can be a super power? Jebus, the media will literally print any rubbish when it comes to them .

Propaganda from a Paul who would have thought ?
History tells us self praise is no praise at all.
All associated with that organisation have a disgusting stigma attached, which will never leave them.

Sadly he has more right than wrong there. Their financial set up is better than ours.
I wouldn't that far. Ok, that are better run off the pitch at the moment, but we are still recovering from some of the deals put in place to strip our club.

Everything else is just pie in the sky. They can't even fill their stadium every week, they could go afford to replace their main stand, and and an extra home game the champions league will in no way provide enough money to be a super club (keep in mind all their competitors at that level will also hey an extra game)

The only way for either of us to compete is to into the EPL, which will never happen

Is it a coincidence with the fat Japanese coming back and the mhedia going into overdrive with them be it VAR, financially, ex players coming out with more shyte than usual, Mutton worse than usual, Beale bad - gravy viens brilliant etc

Pains me to say but Liewell is good at what he does

King was right, we take away 10 that house will fall, it started to, but we somehow never capatilised and fkd it up and took our foot off their neck

Lambert always was a thick c***

How much of a monster will they be after the first lot of class action cases goes through?

Will they still be looking to spend big on their playing squad or will financial focus be adjusted to more pressing matters?

Paul Lambert is just blowing smoke up the arse of a monster, you can read the same from the tim blogs, the kind of nonsense that might as well be written by James Forrest.

Think I’m right in saying they haven’t won a game in Europe since 2021. Since then we’ve be Dortmund, Red Star, Leipzig, PSV and USG

That is some imagination he has

Whilst obviously hyperbole he’d be better served saying they have ambition beyond ours. They protect and promote their fan culture, standing section atmosphere brand etc.

Our board do the opposite. Murray’s biggest failing beyond his own business collapse was he never had enough belief or ambition in the fanbase. His lack of effective ceo to replace him when he stood back and gave us Martin Bain to downsize.

Stewart Robertson is the same. We need an entrepreneurial ceo who can drive us forward and connect politically.

Murray limited the build of Ibrox and went for the cheap option when he removed the seats for screens in the corners. We need the opposite and ambition.
