Spain have played some real nice stuff. Yamal getting loads of plaudits. Olmo has been great too.

Fabian Ruiz been excellent for me as well. Hadn’t noticed much of him before this tournament but he’s been a real stand out here.

Saliba had a strong tournament as well tbf.

Mention for the Georgian lad as well. Great player.

Rodri is the best defensive midfield player on earth at this moment and has been imperious for Spain.

By a mile the best player for the best team so far.

Yamal has been excellent as has Williams for me, Olmo with a shout.

Not too many players to choose from in all honesty, although I do like the look of that boy Reijnders for the Dutch, I think he’s been excellent too.

Yeah it’s got to be Rodri as it stands. Even more impressive than Jude’s 20 minutes vs Serbia.

Rodri or Ruiz for me, both have been tremendous.
The young lad has been very good as well and what a goal last night but over the full games in the tournament the other 2 have been on it the full time.

surely Pickford is in the mix, he's great with all his funny faces and the like.

I think Rodri edges it for me, he's been superb throughout.

Quite the turn around for Ruiz. PSG were willing to get rid of him for half of what they paid this time last year. I do think Rodri does a massive amount of work for him; he doesn't really have that at club level.

Arda Guler has been my favourite to watch.

Yes, Guler has been great too PB. Lovely young player.

Would be some challenge to pick your team of the tournament.

Enjoyed watching Mikautadze for Georgia but Rodri, Ruiz, Yamal and Olmo probably more consistent.

I remember seeing Olmo in previous tournaments and didn't see anything special but I guess this is a better Spanish team

Rodri has probably been the best and most consistent over all player, but when a POTT is picked, its usually a goalscorer or someone who unlocks defences with trickery and skill.

So, for me, it would be Olmo. He has only played 341 minutes, scored 3 and assisted another 2 goals. That's a goal involvement every 70 minutes, but apart from that he has been excellent and is exceptional at finding space at the edge of the box against top quality defences.

Playing devils advocate but that means you are giving him the goal last night and not an own goal.

I know it will go down (and has) as an Olmo goal but for me it's an own goal even if the original shot was on target.

Performances from the likes Olmo and Laimer during this tournament have made our result v Leipzig even better. Unbelievable the squad that night when you look at the level some of their players are at now.

It’s funny how that happens. After beating a team you think you done well to beat their players go on to be absolute stars and makes you look back even more bewildered.

PSG in 00/01 (I think) was quite a scalp when you look at their squad with hindsight.

Absolutely agree on Leipzig but it should be no shock they had beaten Man City already that season I think.

I watched that penalty shootout yesterday. They had some fantastic players. Parma is another team who had a ridiculously talented squad

Spain will be thankful that Lunny finally let Olmo out of his back pocket.

But he's the winner for me, been fantastic. It's telling that if I think of France I would say Saliba was their best player.
