Police Facial Recognition Cameras

Facial recognition is still in its infancy, having seen it work first hand it's not like you see in the movies, it's quite poor.

The cameras don’t work, I heard on the radio this morning that they got 96 out of 100 wrong .

The shitey ones they use yes ... watching a thing on security in Las Vegas casinos
Their claim is 90 % accurate on every body
People they don't get a match on are followed closely Inc sending empty dink glasses for finger print I'd.

Watched that jihad John thing on channel 4 the other night from isis and they used facial recognition camera and got him from that even with his face covered with those stupid black things

Police Scotland do not possess that technology. Clubs in Scotland don't either. GCC have public space CCTV which has the capability to do it but it's too costly apparently.

Christ, my iPhone started doing it after one of the updates a while back. In my photos, under people and places, I’ve got about 20 of my closest friends - just tap on one of them and can see all my pictures they’re in. Scary, not just straightforward pictures of theme either (ie. making faces, different hairstyles).

Facial recognition like speech recognition is still very much in its infancy. It will take 20+ years of 90%+ results for it to be admissable as evidence.

However, the police and investigators will use both along with corroborating evidence to begin an investigation. Matching speech recognition with facial recognition is still not enough for a successful prosecution.

In these days of technology, human evidence with all its deficiencies still trumps this and the best legal adviice is denial.

Gents. Taking away the legal aspect of things. The cameras that are getting installed at Hibs will ensure that there is no hiding place for any supporter. 1 camera can cover a stand and the level of info they can provide is incredible.
