Whatever way it is dressed up it looks like they want more clubs from the big leagues involved.

It's not been a league for champions for a long time. They can do this and rename it EuroLeague or something.

If they did do this, they should also have a straight knockout unseeded tournament and they could call it something mental like the European Cup

Sounds fair enough to me, I'm guessing that the bog trotters won't be happy that their desperate fantasy of being automatically included along with Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa and Hamburg is being kicked into touch.

In order to stop the big clubs doing their own league and to make as much money as they can, UEFA have been morphing the Champions League into that league for those clubs.

Sad to see, but I think it will force the clubs such as ourselves to be involved in a similar European structure with the bigger clubs from outside the major leagues.
