Paris St-Germain and Manchester City have been accused of 'financial doping' by La Liga president Javier Tebas.

Speaking at the Soccerex conference in Manchester, Tebas said the clubs had spent money from outside football and action should be taken to stop it.

Tebas said PSG were "laughing at the system" after their world record £200m purchase of Neymar from Barcelona.

He added: "We've caught them peeing in the swimming pool. Neymar peed from the diving board. We can't accept this."

The head of Spanish football's top flight, continued: "It is not just about PSG but also Manchester City. I need more money from TV, otherwise Manchester City with its oil will take all these players."

I have to admit to a certain amount of schadenfreude from seeing the Spanish clubs bleating about this, having used their TV rights muscle and Madrid's dodgy land deals to do the same to other countries over the years.

It's gone beyond a joke and the game is f***ed as it stands. Something needs to change. Some of the transfer fees for average players are ridiculous. No longer the working mans game down south either with the prices they are charging

Yeah I agree OP, Im no lover on PSG or Man City but the Spanish clubs are just getting a taste of what they have done to others for years. Good to see them not being able to hand pick the best players about. For the same reason Im glad Liverpool stuck to their guns and didnt sell Coutinho

If anyone had said to you when wee Aluko left us in five years time or so he will move for £7. 5m you'd have thought they were a madman. England is mental the rest of Europe not so much.

Its going to take a big name to go under before FIFA act. And that's what will happen when the rich kids get bored with their toys

Not a fan of PSG or City but as OP points out it smacks of sour grapes from Spain's big two as they are no longer able to buy who they want, when they want.

City, PSG and the cash rich EPL clubs can now resist the big offers and compete with Real and Barca.

Off topic, brilliant avatar, " the Oyster Boys are swimming now" "We understand"

If they cap the transfer fees the wages will just be even more ridiculous.
Its gone too far to stop the juggernaught ..

PSG obviously not part of the inner circle at UEFA as %^*& all is said when this involves the Spanish
The other irony is that Platini introduced FFP as he thought French clubs were at a disadvantage in Europe compared to the Spanish and English clubs....

Just read the article on the BBC site & that Spanish guy is a looney. The Spanish are getting a taste of their own medicine & they don't like it at all. Remember a few years ago, how much pressure was put on Liverpool to sell Suarez to Barcelona, same with Gareth Bale to Real Madrid. Man City were the biggest spenders but they also sold several players so their outlay was around £130 million, around the same as Barcelona have spent on a single player.

Would the Spanish FA be whining as loud if it was any other Spanish club, Arn't Barca & Real M allowed to do their own TV deals to the detriment of all the other La Liga clubs? It seems to me that the Spanish FA is run For the benefit of just two teams....like the Scottish FA is run for one team.

Liewell will be on the blower to Cheever J Loophole trying to get them banned before they play them.Or even after they get gubbed by PSG.
