Queens Park on Sunday

Queens Park are no mugs.

I'd be resting f*ck all.

We're getting a couple of midweek rests
Thinking of the team we put out against a non league outfit in the last round, I doubt it’s going to be any weaker than that.

I could see the starting eleven being something like:

Butland
Tavernier Souttar Fernandes Jefte
Raskin Diomande
Hagi Lawrence Bajrami
Dessers

Then if we’re two or three to the good we’ll bring on Propper, Nsiala, Rice, Igamane and possibly Curtis or Nsio.

Think we’ll probably get McCausland, Lawrence, Ridvan, and Kelly if all fit. Not expecting Rice or Curtis to start.

If Rice and Curtis don't start then it's hard to see them starting any game, which makes a mockery of us blooding youth.

Kelly

Tav
Souttar
Fernandes
Nsiala

Rice
Diomande
Lawrence

Hagi
Bajrami
Dessers

Subs (all going well)
McCausland
Nsio
Curtis
King

No idea on fitness of Balogun, Cortes, Danilo, Barron, Yilmaz but if any fit then some minutes would be good ahead of the other subs

Perfect chance to wrap Raskin, Cerny, Jefte and Igamane in cotton wool

This thread shows once again that the manager is dammed if he does and dammed if he doesn't in games like this.

Half want key players rested - If we do that and its a struggle, he will be lambasted.

Half want full strength - If we do that, and win comfortably, but pick up an injury to a key player, he will be lambasted.

Expect it to be a mix.

A few of the younger guys like Rice will start the game, but we’ll have a spine of senior experienced players to make sure we get the result. Queens Park are no mugs.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Cerny and maybe Igamane on the bench.
They are mid table, 19 points behind the leaders, and 9 points off a relegation play off place. we will start with probably 9 regulars and a couple of youngsters.
