Ralph Hasenhüttl and Southampton

Fair play to Hasenhüttl and Southampton. He's managed to turn it around and Southampton stuck by him after the 9-0 hiding at St. Mary's to Leicester.

Even after the 9-0 match they lost the next three. He then ditched the three-man defence in favour of the high-energy 4-2-2-2 formation that served him so well in guiding RB Leipzig to second place in their debut Bundesliga, and results have turned for the better.

Drew with Arsenal, beat Watford, Norwich then lost to Newcastle and West Ham.

On a run of 5/6 wins (includes beating Chelsea, Totttenham and Leicester away in the reserve league match).

Currently 2-0 up against Wolves.

Despite the impending doom that was inevitable as soon as the thread was started, the OP is right. Him, Pearson at Watford, even Moyes at WHU have all turned their little, pampered flowers around. Doesn’t it show what a fraud modern day footballers have become. They only play when they feel like it.

He played a key part in the rise of Red Bull Leipzig. Can see why they got him in, kept everything tight and kept them up comfortably in their first Bundesliga season after doing the same with Ingolstadt after winning them promotion . Easy for Managers in the Bundesliga to get caught up in the “we will score more than you and if we don’t at least it’s fun” philosophy.

Should have filled my boots on Wolves once this was posted here. Bookies would take an absolute pasting if everybody did the exact opposite of what was posted on follow follow.

I don't agree with that ( to a point). New managers bring new ideas. They put players in their best positions, They make changes that the old boss wouldn't make. Superstars playing for the sake of it are dropped. Guys on the bench who need a go, get a chance. It doesn't always work, but it can. Look at Watford, Everton, West Ham... Bournemouth might be heading down the wrong way if it doesn't turn round soon.

NES has made an exciting Wolves team to watch these last few seasons. 6th - level on points with a parody Man Utd team and now 5pts behind Chelsea for 4th. Exciting times just now if your a wolves fan

There is defo something about this guy and the conveyor belt of managers that go through RB Salzburg.
Marco rose doing wonders in Bundesliga as well

It’s funny how after the success of Klopp, there’s more Germans (I know he’s Austrian) in top jobs. Not give it Giggsy til end of the season, no, give it to Hans.

Not many people would get the chance to keep going after getting pumped 9-0. He's managed to turn it into a positive and think they will stay up

Most Clubs would have sacked him after a difficult start and then getting beat 9-0.
Good luck to Southampton for sticking by him.
