The hateley one i think you are reffering to was v hearts. A world class finish.Might be wrong but I’m sure Hateley actually chipped the keeper with a header away to the sheep.
McSwegan v Marseille was up there as well tbh!
There’s a version on Facebook with English commentary. Big Ron Atkinson is spitting feathers...I’ll try and find itHateley's first touch here was genius. The width made the cross. It almost looks so wrong but it was so smart.
First one that came into my head therefore gets my voteShow me a headed goal by a Rangers player that’s better than this by Ally McCoist at Elland Road in 1992. I bet you can’t.
Hearts at Tynecastle.I think that may well have been against Hearts.....?
Not sure how to post videos. I'll give it a shot but forgive me if I mess upDid you all miss the bit where I said “show me”?
Never seen that one before. Bit of a shitter but I guess they all count. One of my favourites that I would swear is a fluke.
It looks like McCoist is actually going for the other corner but a mixture of too much Sun-In and his mullet throw his timing off slightly:
This and Hateley were first that sprung to my mindGary McSwegan (sp) v Marseilles
Derek Johnstone's headed goal against Wales in 1978 was the best i'd ever seen. Halfwit Mcleod still never played him in Argentina.Show me a headed goal by a Rangers player that’s better than this by Ally McCoist at Elland Road in 1992. I bet you can’t.
This one gets my vote too
BOOM
Was at that game, like many there as time went on my memory of it was DJ was much further out but the power he got into that header was immense. The footage disappeared for years. One of the Glasgow papers I recall, Citizen or Times maybe, had a black and white close up still of the moment of impact, I think it might have won some annual sporting photo award. Have never seen it since but would love to track a copy down.Let Ally tell you himself
Actually it was 15 yards Ally!Let Ally tell you himself
An amazing match.Kyriakos v porto
Superb goal. Starts the move and finishes it.
Funny how the old memory works. Was at that game, like many there as time went on my memory of it was DJ was much further out but the power he got into that header was immense. What's dodgy about right on his heid?Sorry, Ma'am.
Probably more about the result (only goal in an OF Final) and the career Dj went on to have than the actual header but it's a belter. The ball in is a bit dodgy but the placement is great.
Was just about to post the mcswegan one. If memory serves me right he bent the header into the top cornerMight be wrong but I’m sure Hateley actually chipped the keeper with a header away to the sheep.
McSwegan v Marseille was up there as well tbh!
Ally should never be contradicted. 30 it is.Actually it was 15 yards Ally!
One of the best headers I’ve ever seen.
Was going to say the same. My first Old firm game.Alex McDonald has got to be in there.
