Rangers announce £6,750,000 share offer to fans - Rangers shares have been issued

Got my email too. Delighted to have some shares again after losing my previous batch in 2012 with the rest of you. Would have bought more if it didn't seem like such a ballache to add in the meantime (I paid by cheque) and Tifosy were better at communicating.

Hopefully there will be other opportunities in the future.

Agreed.

I could have done without that.

Did you use a UK address?

I didn't, nah. Used my Hong Kong address. Also, there isn't a postcode system here, so 00000 is used as an accepted placeholder for all addresses here when the field is mandatory, looks particularly silly.

Havent tried this, but if you move and then change your address on your Tifosy profile, maybe it will update your certificate?

Possibly mate, yeah. I actually tried that to see if it would work, but the certificate remained the same. Perhaps if I changed my address entirely and contacted them.

As I said, not planning on printing, so not a huge deal.

Agree.

As you say, if we get 2 CLs in a row, maybe let these guys take say 10m back between them to give them at least some of their cash back ?

We would still be quids in.

They've got shares mate remember. If they want to take money out of the club, they can sell those if they find a buyer. The best thing they can do is continue to grow the club, which raises the share price, and in turn raises the value of their investment.

I'm eternally grateful to them as well for doing what they done, but I'd be absolutely raging if they took £10million out of the club.

Yes understand that KC, but all I’m saying is if we got 2 years CL Cash that’s maybe 60m cash net ?

I wouldn’t be raging to be honest. Look how much we’ve raised between us fans ? 4-5,000 have bought shares.

Fan ownership would never really work given the investment needed to make our club successful.

Didn’t want to start a new thread.
Just received an email saying the Tifosy Exchange is now open.

There’s Rangers shares available to buy but the money doesn’t go to Rangers this time(for anyone not clued up) it goes to the people who originally bought the shares and are looking to cash in. I’m not an expert in this field so I’m unsure if this involves the same terms as before ie right to attend the AGM.

We need to check this!

Just had a look.

Must be close to 10 different sellers but the prices they practically all are wanting is ridiculous.

Looks like one seller who’s looking to offload at a reasonable price.

How does this work,do you have to purchase the whole block or can you offer to purchase a % of their block?

I’m sure it’s the whole block they have put up for sale.

Right gotcha mate.I wasn’t sure if you had to purchase the whole block or weather you could make an offer to purchase a % of their block.

Some of them are wanting Champions League share prices.

Crazy the prices. I suppose if you don’t ask you don’t get haha.

Nope nothing mentioned in that email , but if I remember rightly it was a £25.00 admin fee.

I’ll check in with them and let you know
It’s not for me but it’s good info to get out there on FollowFollow. My shares are already ‘certificated’ (didn’t buy through Tifosy). I’d agree there is likely to be a cost/admin fee of £25-£50.

Finally got an email from Tifosy regarding taking shares out with their platform for anyone interested -(email was too long to post directly into this)

Thanks for this Murdoch, holding my shares in this way doesn’t feel right and I’m keen to transfer them to my name alone. Perhaps you know the answer to this one…if we take them from under the Tifosi umbrella, do we get an actual, physical share(s) certificate or is it just another downloadable one to print at home? Thanks.

I have also started the procedure to transfer my shares out of Tifosy. I have paid a £25 fee for this. I already hold shares from the time of Green & co.

  • Confirm the full name and address of the new registered shareholder (this must be your full name and address or the name and address of the new Nominee you wish to transfer the shares to)
  • Review and approve the signing of a Stock Transfer Form which will be provided to you by Tifosy
Tifosy will then arrange the transfer of your shares and update Link Group as the Rangers shareholder registrar.

Timing

Rangers will be holding its Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) on 30 November 2021. As any delays to the processing of share transfers could lead to shareholders being unable to vote their shares at this AGM, all transfers out of the Tifosy Nominee will be scheduled for after the AGM has taken place.

In order to proceed with transfers as soon as possible after the AGM, we are aiming to gather the information required for the completion of all stock transfer forms by Friday 26 November 2021, with a view to issuing forms for signature in the first week of December.

Next steps

If you are interested in transferring Rangers shares out of the Tifosy Nominee, please reply to this email confirming the full name and address of the new registered shareholder (this must be your full name and address or the name and address of the new Nominee you wish to transfer the shares to).

If you have any questions regarding this transfer process please contact us by email at info@tifosy.com or by Live Chat atwww.tifosy.com.

Response from Tifosy confirming what we thought - not too bad to be fair

“Yes, there is a £25 administration fee on all transfers into and out of the Tifosy Nominee, which covers execution of the transfer form and updating of the share registers.”

Any idea of the share certificate itself? Still a poorly worded downloadable gimmick? Cheers.

Not too sure , I think sadly in this day and age where they expect you to print everything itll be some other printable one they give you.

To be fair, that’s at the cheaper end of the scale. Thank you, hopefully helps others thinking of doing this.

I bought independently through Redmayne Bentley a few years ago to help the Three Bears. Sorry to advise but the ‘share certificate’ you get from the Registrar ( Capita/Link Asset) is a black and white bit of headed paper that’s roughly A5 size. Not really suitable for framing and displaying. I suspect the one from Tifosy will look better. I think you only get the fancy ones as part of a major share issue with a Prospectus etc.

I imagine they are just the same as all other shares issued at that time and since.

They are still valid shares but you just can't trade them. If someone wanted to buy them you could sell privately. Or maybe a broker would take them. But for £400 worth it might not be worth their effort.

Or ring C1872 - I heard they're after shares :))

I'd hang on to them mate. This time next year you might be a millionaire!

Hoping someone can help, I bought shares after 2012, when getting some work done in the house the certificate was put away in a safe place... so safe we can't find it, I think the other half has accidentally binned it not realising what it is, is there anyway to get a replacement, if so how would I go about it anyone know?

We have a small allocation and the New Issue, we still receive our AGM envelopes for the small, your Certificate number should be on that, also contact details, hope it helps. Other than that maybe your shares were the old ones that are down the Swanny.

This from FAQ on our registrars website.

If you have lost or destroyed your share certificate or if it has been stolen you will need a replacement. We will place a restriction onto the certificate to stop it from being used fraudulently.

Administration

A fee is charged to cover the costs in producing a replacement certificate. The standard fees, inclusive of VAT are shown below:

Value of missing certificate / Administration fee

Less than £125 / Free of charge

Over £125 / £47.00

Countersignature

The indemnity form must be countersigned by a suitably authorised bank, insurance company or guarantee society. Alternatively, you may wish to explore Trust & Probate Insurance. Trust & Probate Insurance is part of Legal & Contingency Limited, a specialist insurance intermediary, offering a counter signature service from an insurer authorised and regulated by the FCA.

Contact details are as follows:

The information provided does not constitute advice and individuals must ensure that they identify the solution appropriate to their situation. Link Market Services Trustees Limited Services and Trust & Probate Insurance are not in partnership and there is no information sharing or commercial benefit arrangement between these firms.

This is to take on any possible liability of the certificate being used fraudulently.

We can provide cover for ourselves to support the indemnity – the standard fees, inclusive of VAT are shown below:

Not the old ones mate, I think it was the first ones to go on sale after administration, sure it was £500, the certificate was an odd shaped one as in it was difficult to get a frame to put it in.

I still get my invitation to agm it's just the certificate I can't find.
