Rangers are the most likely club in Europe to go bust according to a survey in the Sunday Mail

From the BBC paper gossip page.

Is this the David Low article already with a massive thread, or a second bit of Timmy porn?

A new survey, by digital business media company Off The Pitch, reveals Rangers are the most likely club in Europe to go bust as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, with Celtic second on the list (Sunday Mail)
Croatian club Zadar went to the wall just a day ago . First club of Modric . Sad .

Outside of the obvious smear job attempted by the rebel celtc view i read that as actually the OPPOSITE of what they are trying to "push"

Rangers Football Club ARE financed by their Fans, NOT shady loans, NOT Bank "deals" tainted by corruption and NOT funded by a Crooked Corrupt "Sugar Daddy" that is subject of international Police Forces !!!

Rangers are financed exactly how they should be - funded by the fans who support their club ?

Take Sky money out of the EPL, how many down there could survive on their fans to same extent ?

Scumbag paper trying to show us as weak when in fact it shows our strength !

Yes man good post . And I would say these very fans have a serious claim on being the most loyal in Europe .

Doublethink in action, right there.

Papers don't even print real news anymore, its just shite they print. Its getting to the stage that papers are for stupid people to buy

Big wages for both sides and very little money coming in from TV. No one else is to blame other than the people selling our game for peanuts.

Although why read this shit? Club has showed no sign of weakness financially during this so ignore it.

Does this not show how shite a job our league are doing in bringing income to the table more than anything?

It's based off the fact us (and them) get the majority of our income from Matchday Revenues, and how high this % is.

If the league as a whole were better at selling the brand, this figure would be lower (like other major European countries where TV money is a large portion).

Any polls today on which club in Europe is most likely to pay out the most money in compensation claims?

Three pages of replies from loads of people who clearly didn't read the article or original source is a bit of a waste of bandwidth.

It isn't a survey of Declans taken by the Sunday Mail. It's based on research by Off the Pitch into matchday income as a proportion of turnover and the clubs which rely most on ticket sales. We're top of the list. Celtic and Porto second. The top 20 is below.

The original post suggests the BBC is shit stirring (insert shocked emoji here) with mention of going bust. The Off the Pitch report, and the Sunday Mail article for that matter, doesn't mention "going bust". It's simply highlighting a real concern if football is played behind closed doors for an extended period of time. And as supporters this research is highlighting that we need to keep buying season tickets, MyGers subscriptions, merchandise, RTV subscriptions and anything else to make sure our club comes out of this as strongly as possible and spread the income sources around more.

A paper for mentally challengeds by mentally challengeds thinks we will go bust? That should be treated with the contempt it deserves

Just checked companies house, Shame fc’s operating expenses (£86.9m) were just a smidgen under 105% of income (£83.4m).*

* this figure even factors in an £8m profit in transfer activities.
