No Surrender Dave King!

I dunno if it was just reading in to things based on the AGM but if King is really needing to attend to his business in SA as he described, my thinking was that he feels there's a reasonable short time before a conclusion is reached with SDi or he wouldn't have agreed to stay on in that role.

I think there was a comment along the lines of "we thought we'd reached an agreement at one stage" too which suggests things are getting there (allowing for Ashley being a duplicitous lady's front bottom)

Hopefully it's concluded before too long.

This entire process is pretty much the only thing about following Rangers nowadays that isn't enjoyable.

Would quite like to see karma hit Mike Ashley for what he does to his employees, particularly those in Shirebrook. Some of the stories are absolutely appalling.

Surely the fat c(nt is due a massive heart attack / stroke combo

And you have so called left wing socialists that are cheering him on. The man is a horrible employer of the working classes who wouldn't be out of place in a Dickens story.

Something in the Liverpool commercial verdict that assists us?

Anyway, at the hearing on 2nd October 2019 the judge gave 8 weeks extension for and amended defence by Rangers and an amended defence by Elite (so the timing looks right).

The attached document (transcript of procedings on 2nd October) suggests another hearing on 10th January 2020.

Sounds like the Judge is a bit fed up with it all, his first comment being "Is it the fifth round or the quarter finals?". From what I can discern Rangers/Elite forming a co-ordinated defence against SDS who seem to have claims against both and there remained issues of disclosure. All a bit beyond me but legal eagles among FF may well make more of it

This may well be King vs Ashley, but it's the club's money that is being spent on this ongoing litigation, not King's.

It was comforting to hear King say it’s more of an irritant nowadays as our other revenue grows. Let’s hope the King can scratch the itch!

One thing we can take from that summary is that we have changed our lawyers.

SDI are trying to sue Elite for inducing breach of contract by Rangers.

They are also adding claims for misrepresentation by Blair on Rangers behalf.

Both of these things are attempts to get round the cap on damages - either might work.

Yes I agree totally, he has removed himself from being head of the club, so he can go after the fatman, his way.

That was my immediate thought when he stepped down. Although it was more to do with him being out of the way, fatman wouldn't be as vociferous with Rangers as it had come down to him v King.

That was in 2015 , hope it's increased since and not went down

And based off information from 2012!

I honestly think Dave King will be utterly minted. The fact he became super secretive about it tells its own Story. Ashley on paper is a billionaire but he wont be sitting there with billions in the bank, most of it is by owning all the companies and their assets.

Also think its safe to say we will be wearing hummel kits next season as well. It all the work will be in place and ready for the new season by the time this goes back to court.

The only way SDI can get the cap removed is by proving fraud on rangers behalf - this is the fat mans last roll of the dice.

Don’t let anyone tell you the cap has been removed (as was widely misreported by people like Chris McGlaughlin gleefully at the time). SDIs latest round of battle with us is the proof in fact.

There were plenty on here who had us paying millions in damages as well as playing in Lonsdale kits until eternity.

I'm hoping this isn't a long term thing. The fact king says he is going to stay around till it's done and he never wanted to be part of the club long term suggests to me this will be a matter of months rather than years
