Rangers File Counter Claim against SDI

One thing we can take from that summary is that we have changed our lawyers.

SDI are trying to sue Elite for inducing breach of contract by Rangers.

They are also adding claims for misrepresentation by Blair on Rangers behalf.

Both of these things are attempts to get round the cap on damages - either might work.

I'm pretty sure the change of legal team became apparent in the transcript of the last hearing @Marty101 - there was some discussion about the guys in Court still struggling to catch up on all the stuff that had gone on previously.

Let's hope James Blair didn't recommend this lot and they actually pull a rabbit out of the hat.

It may be with counter claims that it tips balance of judge who gets pissed off and just tells Rangers to pay £1m and go seperate ways as his heid in mince with all this...much like mine

Can that fat cünt not get ‘suicided’ like all those Russians in London or Epstein in prison?

Ashley is everything that is wrong in the Uk’s ‘entrepreneurial’ scene . This country is sick to its core if people like him are to be admired. He is in fact utter trash on every level.

We have a bigger piece of utter trash with similarly negative moral standards running our fukin country over here! (had to get that in as I'm banned from my own Trump thread in the lounge :))

Keep fighting DK. We're all behind you.

I've gotta admit, I'm feeling a bit more confident about the situation seeing the arguments that we're putting forward here.

Ashely knows regardless of what happens, no Rangers fans will buy anthing from his stores, Ashley is total poison to the club, he's being nothing more than vindictive and full of hatred for our club knowing if he wins it would be mere pocket change for him, It's quite incredible the damage he is doing to our retail sales and wish a judge would just see sense and tell him to GTF.

Had this been a decent man with Rangers best interests at heart and helping Rangers by investing and helping put us top of the tree, he would have been welcomed with open arms and his companys profits would have increased greatly, Instead we had someone jump on board holding us by the throat ready to pounce on our assets and doesn't bear thinking about where we would be had he been in charge with his cronies, problem with people like Ashley is they are motivated by nothing more than control and utter greed and winning whatever the cost of who gets tossed under a bus.

I’m as certain as I can be and always have been, that the fat geezer did some sort of deal with the money behind the bheasts from the east.

King mentioned the South African authorities have limits on moving money outside of the country. He couldn't even if he wanted to or could afford to do so.

Its by the by on this discussion but I would doubt a man as shrewd as King does not have a substantial portion of his wealth stashed in various offshore havens.

Wish the judge would just draw a line under this.
Even if he tells us we need to pay X million to him and then it's a clean break.

All of this is looking very promising. All the arguments we are putting forward look very hard to pick apart. Ashley is going to have to come up with something special.
Fucking hate that fat rancid cancerous bastard Ashley, using our club the way he has in his little millionaire spats.
No surrender mr King.

And you have so called left wing socialists that are cheering him on. The man is a horrible employer of the working classes who wouldn't be out of place in a Dickens story.
And the MP for the constituency where SDIs HQ is located is the so called “Beast of Balsover” who just lets this modern slavery carry on for a few free lunches.

What took the club so long to take the counter action, the parasite has been stealing from us from the beginning.

Without knowing the first thing about the various laws involved in this debacle, I genuinely can't think how SD have a leg to stand on here given that they're trying to push through an agreement with another party who is openly hostile and a customer base who wouldn't be interested in buying from them. What possible reason could they have for doing this other than bad faith?

I think its highly unlikely he will do as you describe.

I haven’t read the op or most of the rest of the thread but I’m very sceptical about anything to do with Ashley, so can someone clear a couple of things up for me?

1) how has this latest news came to light

2) why would DK allow anything that is likely to help our cause to be leaked on the internet

Sorry if it’s all been explained in the thread already!

These are the publicly available court documents submitted to the court ahead of our next round of battles.

1. Rangers lodged the appeal yesterday it looks like
2. Anyone can access the documents - they’re on a public source. It’s not a case of leaking.

whats he meant to do? storm the sports direct hq
Nope just do his fucking job he's employed for.

Look after his constituents, rather than ride the gravy train. Honestly every fucking single politician should be offered minimum wage, watch the thieving bastards jump ship one after the other.

The only reason they are doing that job is for the money and expenses. they couldn't give 2 fucks about their costituents at all.

The lords, Mp's, Msp's give them minimum wage then watch how much they care about their policies and constituents.

Wullie Rennie the Lib Dem bellend over here got in power with pledges to do this that and the next thing. First year in power?

Highest expenses in Scotland, claimed nearly £23k alone in expenses.

MSPs claim more than £16m in expenses for first time

Of the five party leaders, Lib Dem Willie Rennie claimed the most in expenses, with the North East Fife MSP billing the Parliament for £22,710.95 over 2017-18.

Next was Patrick Harvie of the Scottish Greens, with the Glasgow MSP claiming £20,089.14, followed by SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon, who claimed £13,005.47 in expenses for her role as MSP for Glasgow Southside.

Scottish Conservative leader and Edinburgh Central MSP Ruth Davidson claimed a total of £10,738.65 over the year, while Richard Leonard – who was elected Labour leader in November 2017 – claimed £9,003.88 as a Central Scotland MSP.

Ken Macintosh, who is the Scottish Parliament’s Presiding Officer, claimed £18,155.29 in 2017-18 for his work as an MSP for the West of Scotland region.

Noses and troughs go hand in hand, on a percentage basis, how many of these career politicians would deserve the monies their getting?

WTF! Patrick Harvie claims over 20K in expenses. What does the little weasel do? What kind of carbon footprint does his expenses equate to?
We'll be left wondering. None of the useless Scottish media will be investigating. That's for certain.
