Obviously it’s not just as black and white as the country someone comes from. Morelos was already performing in a European league, albeit a lesser one than ours. Cannigia was an established star who even already had experience in Scotland.

It’s when we just pluck someone from Latin America that hasnt crossed the water before that you worry

Are we (the UK) not heavily restricted by work permits and the like compared to other European countries which is why we don't really recruit from there? There must be loads of talented South Americans youngsters but I think its largely shut off to us.

I’d sign him tbh. I think he’d be a great player up here. He’s the right age, lots of international experience, actually won trophies in a similar league. He’s the kinda guy who could give us some energy and bite in those away games where last season we all wished we had McCrorie, but I’d say his passing is better.
