Rangers record against French opponents

They got a good result against Olympiakos, but have started their season slow and are underperforming.

Lacazaette, Benrahma, Matic and Zaha, as well as a couple of young athletic wingers...they'll be a real threat.

Will be a big ask to keep our clean sheet run going, but we should absolutely be going out to win.

I'd like 3 points, but in the bigger picture a draw wouldn't be a terrible result.

Still traumatised from a young Benzema tearing us a new one at Ibrox in 2007. Had a not bad career that lad
I still blame my brother. He’s not that into football but I took him to that game and he bought an f’n half and half scarf. He and Jean Claude Darcheville will always be the villains of that night for me! Although, it ended up in Manchester so.

I'm still annoyed about Auxerre & Strasbourg, 96 & 97.
Boumsongs’ worst performance in a Rangers shirt. Should have been kicked up and down that dressing room. Did a job for his old team and cost us dear.

I am still cracking teeth about it the noo, you can probably tell.

I'm sure we beat Monaco away, knocked out PSG on penalties and scored 4 points from 6 away to Lyon

Convenient of them to leave out the success stories

Would be a nice time to change that record! In truth they are quality opposition but we've beaten many good teams at Ibrox. Big performance needed

Nowhere near! Closer to Switzerland. On the border with Germany.
I remember going to a game in the 90's . I think it might have been when we played Grasshoppers. We stayed overnight in Strasbourg , a few guys from the bus said " see you later we are off to Germany to the pub". They changed some cash into German currency and walked across the bridge into Germany. A couple of hours later they were back moaning. They had lost cash converting it to German, then had to change it back losing again and there was no one in the pub so came back with sad faces.

It was fought over between France and Germany. France got it back after World War 1. I think the Germans had had it under their control from the Franco Prussian War until then.

Pochettino missed their penalty that night. To put the icing on the cake our 'friends' from the east end of the city were knocked out of Europe that same night after losing a late goal to Partizan Belgrade.
I thought they went out to Valencia on penalties on the same night.

Think a draw would be a very good result
